I love Thomas but there's not way Ozzie will take him at #25. He had an outside chance at possibly slipping into first barring a great workout. But since he broke his foot, we won't get to see him run a forty and more importantly, an NFL route tree. At this point, he would be a BIG reach at #25 and in the draft, if there's one thing Ozzie won't do, its reach.

how important should re-signing Dwan Edwards be for the Ravens?

If Dwan Edwards is leaving which is very likely at this point both Denver and Seattle have scheduled visits then depth among the DL is yet another issue the Ravens must address in the draft. We already lost Bannan, Pryce is getting long in the tooth annd Edwards leaving is going to leave us hungry for depth. We will probably be looking for some guys in the later rounds...perhaps an Arthur Jones, Corey Peters, or Vince Oghobaase...

Glad to see I'm not the only one infatuated with Demaryius Thomas. For as much as I love him as a prospect I'm sure someones going to slip and we will take them, we make a living off BPA's. But boy would I love to have him on this team.

Beat writer Jamison Hensley reports free agent Derrick Mason is no longer a priority after the team traded for Anquan Boldin.

It looks like Mason overplayed his hand when he opted not to re-sign before free agency. The Ravens still have interest in bringing him back as the No. 2 receiver, but he's obviously not going to be paid as much. Though the Dolphins and Pats were reported to be interested, Mason has yet to set up a visit.

Figured something like this would happen. I still see WR at 25 or in round 2.

I would still like to see WR in rd 1 and 2. Clayton needs to be no more then a 3.....more like a 4. I have zero faith in Donte Stallworth, as he was playing extremely awful prior to his drunk driving escapades. We still need another starter and a quality slot WR. Demaryius Thomas in rd 1, Mardy Gilyard in rd 2, or wait til our rd 3 comp pick and take Jacoby Ford.

We're not getting any high comp. picks this year, most we are getting is a 7th net value comp. because we signed the same number of FAs that we let get away last off-season. It sucks because the players we signed were far less valuable than the ones that left, but that's the way it is. Don't see us doubling up on receiver in the first couple of rounds either, but we definitely need one in there.

I too would love to get Bey Bey but I think with is broken foot, getting him in the second is a legitimate possibility. I don't think we need to burn our 1st to get him. You're right about the BPA but I agree with you guys that WR still needs to be a priority in the 1st or 2nd. ERU, I don''t agree with taking a WR in both the 1st and 2nd. This is a deep WR class and we can get a quality player in either round but CB is also an area that needs to be addressed. And like WR, it is deep class and a quality player should be available in the 2nd.

This play alone made me love DeMaryius (Starts at 0:54)

I'm with you guys on the Demaryius love, but I dont think hes a first round prospect at this point on anyone's board, especially ours. If we were to go WR in the first, I would say at this point in the process it would look like Benn, who coincidentally draws comparisons to Boldin. I like Thomas, but hes so incredibly raw and there is no telling how he would respond when asked to digest a full NFL route tree. At this point, I think hes a mid 2nd rounder, and I cant see him going any higher unless that reputed tape of him running a 4.38 really does exist.

Now that we have Boldin, Id much rather us go TE at 25, either Gresham or possibly even Gronkowski depending on how he runs. Rumors have him at around 4.65, which for someone his size would be great, and he played incredible his SO year. Gresham is going to be special, and I think hes the best receiving threat in this draft besides Bryant.

More and more, I get the feeling the pick will be a defensive front 7 player. Jared Odrick and Jerry Hughes fit the bill. Harbaugh has actively come out and said we hope to improve the pass rush this offseason, and if we keep Washington, I can see us going that route in Round 1.

I think now than ever that you have Boldin you can afford to take Benn if he's still there and not have to worry too much about the risk factor. It's just an added plus that physically he's everything like Q and would benefit greatly from learning from a guy similar to him skills wise.

We need a "Ravens Discussion Thread". Every other team board has one and because we don't have one, we end up with tons of new threads for every little piece of news.

Just wanted to bring up that Marlin Jackson is scheduled to visit Balitmore on Tueday - per Adam Schefter

He's only played 11 games in 2 years due to injuries. He is coming off major knee surgery.

I think both his injuries were also season ending ACLs, not sure if it was the same knee. He's the type of corner we need, but probably not at this stage of his career.

As a Boys fan I've been hearing rumors about signing/trading for Gaither. How is he generally regarded amongst Ravens fans?

I won't lie if we got a Top 5 #1 then yes let Gaither go and we can draft Okung or Bulaga then it might be worth the trade. Otherwise NOWAY he leaves I think the 1st instead of the 1st and 3rd was a financial move not a slap in the face move.

I thought comp picks were based off of contract values, in which case we will get a high comp pick because the Jets overpaid out the ass for Bart Scott.

Why would you want to trade a guy we know can play, to pick up risky draft picks and pay them insane top 5 money?

It's a mixture of contracts and on field performance/starts I think.
