"Over its opening weekend, no more than a dozen people went to see Motherhood, a semi-autobiographical account of stressed-out Manhattan parenting written and directed by Katherine Dieckmann. The film made just £88 on the weekend of Friday 5 March. On its debut Sunday, box office
takings were £9, meaning one person bought a ticket.

Hollywood is in shock this morning with the news that Tim Burton will replace Christopher Nolan as the director of Batman 3, and Johnny Depp will star as The Riddler.

Whedon in line to direct 'Avengers' film?
Quote:
Joss Whedon is reportedly on the shortlist to direct Marvel's upcoming Avengers movie.
According to IESB, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator is at the top of the list of candidates to helm the superhero picture.
The site insists that the report is "not an April Fools' joke".
Whedon's representatives have not confirmed the claim.
The Dollhouse producer has a history with Marvel as a comic book writer for Astonishing X-Men and The Runaways.
He is currently in production on horror film Cabin in the Woods, which he wrote and is producing. Whedon directed the 2005 Firefly spinoff film Serenity.

Really? I could do without 40 minutes of the Scarecrow and the Tinman walking around in zoot suits to a slow-pan cam. The Tarantino interest among young males is puzzling to me. Pulp Fiction was great. I can't think of anbything else he's done that registers above mediocre.
