That's why it was a little tough to let Morton go in that Mclouth trade...he does have some insane stuff. He has number one type stuff, but he'll probably never put it all together. He's so very frustrating. He's an enigma. He's a god damn right handed Oliver Perez.

Oswalt gets paid 15 mil this year, and 16 mil next year with a 2 mil buyout/16 mil option in 2012. So a year and a half for overpaying what is now a 3 WAR pitcher, probably going down to 2.5ish next year.
A couple of decentish prospects,, maybe some with high upside. Oswalt is still above average even with the age and injury concerns,
and he's one of my favorite pitchers. He's never posted a FIP above 4, and the Astros have to sell at some point, right? Maybe the Mariners make sense depending on Lee's status. Other Teams I could see are the Angels, Tigers, and perhaps the Braves, depending on all of these teams playoff statuses later on.

JEREMY BONDERMAN IS TOOOOOOOOO!
Struck out Asdrubal Cabrera and Grady Sizemore in a 1,2,3 1st inning.
Promising start.

If we could get a run off of Freddy Garcia that would be fantastic.

Welcome back, Jeremy Bonderman.
5 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
His slider was the best it's been in years. Retired the first 11 Indians batters.

Any time the rest of the team, besides the starting pitchers want to show up for the season is fine by me.

Jay Bruce might just be the unluckiest player in baseball right now.

You should be well aware of Gardenhire's love for scrappy middle infielders with no talent by now.
But given our 5-1 start and Jesse Crain not making me want to jump into traffic I probably shouldn't be so negative.

How can Casilla be scrappy and gritty when he's not white?

Phillies well on their way to being the highest scoring team in baseball. They weren't in the top 5 last year.

His lack of hitting ability and his size allow him to transcend the color barrier.

Jerry ******* Manuel. Jose Reyes leads off the 9th with a single, but apparently it's a good ******* idea to bunt him over. Jesus Christ, what a ******* moron. Hopefully he gets stabbed on the subway tonight.

Wow, I am surprised at the last minute pitching change for the Pirates. Going to be a good game tonight with Duke and Haren squaring off.

I don't know why he loves giving up outs like that. Tatis shouldn't have been bunting either earlier in the game. And oh yeah F*ck Willie Harris.
