John Jaso had about a 1:1 BB/K rate in AAA. He's not obese. He's pretty much the anti-Navarro.

John Jaso has walked 9 times, and struck out once.

HELLO??
.330ish, 5 HR in 61 AB.
He's completely done with AAA at this point and Marson is atrocious...
What's the deal with the financial implications and at what point this season would it be fiscally prudent for them to bring him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

He'll be up in mid-May so they can keep him for an extra year.

June 1ish. That would likely avoid making him a Super 2.

Johnson having 9 HRs makes no sense. Something must be up.

Why is the Dodgers GM giving Kemp **** when he's batting .290 with 7 HRs?

Johnson was supposed to have that kind of power when we first called him up, when he was an outfielder. Well maybe not that kind of power, but certainly 25+, they were talking. The guy had a stance/swing that mirrored that of Chipper's. He was just streaky as hell and then completely fell off at the tail end of his Brave's career.
As for Laroche...I'm so happy that he's not hitting his usual .170 in April.
.299/.397/.582 4 HRS 17 RBIs
That's a hell of an April by Laroche's standards.
Glaus sure is doing great for us. :/ Braves are so hard to watch right now, I cant believe how bad our offense is.

Colletti needs to concentrate more on not being a terrible GM and less on publicly calling out and alienating his best player.

For real though but Coletti was right here. Kemp was not playing hard at all.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the Pirates closer role? Dotel hasn't been very good and Meek has looked good in middle relief and came in tonight with a clean 9th inning of work for the save. Any chance Meek keeps the job?

I still think it's Dotel's, but if he keeps struggling, Meek or Hanrahan can be the closer.

You think Meek is worth a pickup in fantasy leagues?

He should be getting more innings. I'd pick him up, but don't kill me or anyone else if he only pitches a few games.
