This is a great idea, I'll get to this when I have some time, but an idea I have is how they came to know football and what makes them a fan of the sport and their team... Favorite players, coaches, etc.

I had an idea for the same concept for us all to get to know each other more in the Titans forum, so I'll start off the profiles and maybe add some questions! :D
Life Story: I've lived in Tennessee all my life, from Chattanooga to Memphis. I have an IQ of 130 which only like 2.2% of the world's population has, but I also have ADD so I think it balances out. I have a fairly big family of six - my mom, dad, and three sisters. Yup, three sisters, so I'm stuck swimming in the estrogen ocean, so a predominantly male oriented site has been awesome for the past...damn, has it really been four and a half years? I've been a Titans fan since they've moved to Tennessee, but wasn't really into football like I am now until about '05-'06. Perhaps the most unique thing about me is that I'm a cancer survivor, and have been in remission for about 9 years now. I was huge into playing sports before I was diagnosed, but since then, I haven't been able to play due to the extent I've had my leg worked on (it was a bone tumor in the left tibia), so writing talking about it has really become something I love. I'm hoping to one day become a writer and maybe even own my own site, so I'm going to college to earn a degree in Journalism. Living at home while I go to college, but I'm looking to break free from the nest here fairly soon when I transfer to a university. How you found the site: Researching the 2006 NFL Draft when the Titans were likely going to be picking a QB, which made it a much more important pick and was something I wanted to look into harder. I've researched the NFL Draft before, even visiting this site I believe, but it was more of a casual thing. For the eventual VY pick, I registered on the forums, and I have been here ever since - eventually being passed the Titans Team Leader torch and being able to lead the best group of Titans fans on the net! Not to mention the community as a whole is one of the most knowledgeable around the net. You have fans from every team, so there's a checks and balance system to maintain objectivity (which is something about team only sites that I hate), and also fans of collegiate football. To know your stuff on a NFL Draft website, you have to know your stuff on the collegiate side and professional side, so it's awesome being able to come to one place where you can talk extensively about both sides. A new poster will absolutely double his knowledge of football after posting actively and engaging the community on this forum for 6 months. What got me hooked on the NFL Draft: Actually, Madden. I would play the Franchise mode and use the Titans and go through the actual games and stuff, but then I'd get to the Offseason mode with Free Agency and the NFL Draft, which for whatever reason I enjoyed A LOT. It got to the point where I played the game not to control the Titans, but to control the Titans's Offseason. I'd simulate most of the season just so I could get to the next Offseason. Drafting players, bringing it/re-signing veterans, and basically forming my own roster was sooo much fun. So I think it was natural for me to take to SWDC because it was a site based upon the NFL Offseason. Words of advice to new members: My advice, first and foremost, is to try not to be the "smartest guy in the room." Doing that will eventually backfire when it inevitably comes when a poster who is more knowledgeable than you are comes and makes you backup your words, so carry yourself like you know that you could be wrong. Too many new posters will come in a make this mistake, and those guys get sniffed out quick by the tenured members who from that point on take the poster's input with a grain of salt and ignore him for the most part. Still, I urge you to have an opinion, make posts, and involve yourself in debates. You'll learn much more that way, and as long as you're respectful to other posters and aren't stubborn, you'll be taken seriously and respected back. Not to mention, if you do know your stuff and you're a nice guy, it has the reverse effect of the "smartest guy in the room" poster. I think going about that in the way that I did helped me make friends and gave me a huge head start on establishing myself as a poster, which in turn helped me to get promoted to TL status after only being a forum member for less than two years. So in essence, "Walk softly but carry a big stick," and you'll be better off!
I'm still planning on a Titans Phonebook for the Titans forum, but now I'm gonna look unoriginal /sadpants!
I'm a grad student at SC/working PR professional, originally from SD, and root for the Chargers, Trojans, Lakers, Ducks, and when I can, Aztecs.
In my spare time I enjoy walks on the beach, boxing (taking up Judo soon too), obsessively reading about and talking football, getting hammered, playing Xbox, and beating off.
Once I won Dr. Pepper's '1 in 6 Wins' contest 8 times in a row which is statistically impossible. But they were all from the same vending machine which must have gotten a special shipment. I leave that part out usually.

Hometown: Gloucester, England Favorite Sports Team(s): Liverpool FC, Leicester Tigers, Indianapolis Colts School/Occupation: Graduate Training Scheme Life Story: I'll fill this out fully at one point in the future, but as a kid growing up in the mean streets of Leicester, England, I had pretty much always been into football (soccer), playing for 10 years before going to University. Whilst at University of Warwick to study Mathematics (should I say Math for the vast majority of the audience here?? :P) I joined the Warwick Wolves American Football Team, playing Left Tackle in my rookie season and not giving up a sack, started to play Defensive End too before tearing up my knee, keeping me out of action for a year. At this time I started looking at the NFL Draft and Google led me to this wonderful site and all of the forum inhabitants I learn from here... enjoy chatting to some of the folks on here on football (have educating me massively on college football and the NFL) and other topics too such as MMA, soccer etc... long may it continue!

I'm Jimmy. I'm 19. I'm an enigma, and I choose to embrace it and keep it that way. Something notable about me is that I have a hot girlfriend that is out of my league.

How I found this site?: Probably searching up mock drafts in google.
Life story: Originally from New York City, I lived there until I was 12 and then moved down here to Florida. My father is Greek which is where Fotios comes from and my mother is Russian. I love football and I am currently the ILB on my school's varsity team :) . I am young but I love to learn about the game, and I pride myself on being a student of the game; I hope to maybe even benefit from this on the field or further in life as a scout/analyst/journalist etc. I have been called the Josh Freeman of guidos, however I hope that growing out my hair has changed that, probably not.
Name: Andrew
Age: 18
Hometown: well I live in Saint Augustine, FL
Favorite Sports Team(s): Jacksonville Jaguars, Florida Marlins, University of Florida Gators
School/Occupation: just finished freshman year at the University of Florida
Life Story: I'll skip to the present. I like (watching) football, philosophy, linguistics, making up languages (known as conlanging...yeahhh), music, (watching) baseball, diet soda, and fapping. I'm a nerd and a loner but I roll with the punches.
How you found the site: Don't remember...probably when I was trying to find out more about the draft. I got hooked to the site for reasons outside of the draft, like the Off Topic forum, the NFL forum, and IRC. I'm still a draft dunce but that's because I don't pay as much attention to the things you have to know. I use this site to educate myself.

Age: 19
Hometown: Monterrey, Mexico
Favorite Sports Team(s): Steelers, Lakers, Real Madrid, Tigres, and I don't really follow baseball that much, but my grandfather is a Yankees fan and I guess I'm one too.
School/Occupation: Student
Life Story: Born in Monterrey and lived there all my life. Wasn't really into football that much until I turned 15. I became a Steelers fan because all my friends had a bet going on about who'd win the Superbowl, and I picked Pittsburgh. I watched two or three games at the end of the season, and I don't know why, I just liked them. They won all those games, sneaked into the playoffs, and beat the Seahawks in the Superbowl. Been an avid fan since then. Xbox live tag is Taquashaniqua (bad story...), and that's it.
How you found the site: Lurked for a couple months, joined Nov. 2007 and didn't post regularly until Pittsburgh drafted Rashard Mendenhall. I guess I was looking for Mock Drafts and info and stumbled upon the NFLDC community. Never left, and I don't plan to do so anytime soon.
