It's 13 Steelers, 6 Ravens and 3 Bengals. The team that just finished the season 3rd in the division is way over represented.

You also used 2 halfbacks so you could get another Steeler in (and excluded fullback, which I'll assume is because Pittsburgh clearly would have lost that position battle).

Furthermore, Hines Ward beating out Boldin is ridiculous. Even as a Bengals fan, I really like what Hines Ward has done (and currently does) for the Steelers. But he just isn't on the same talent level as Boldin.

Also, you have 2 linemen from arguably the worst line in the division. I'm not saying that it's their fault that the Steelers gave up roughly 50 sacks but you're avoiding 3 of the best linemen in the division by putting Starks in over Whitworth, Gaithers & most importantly Joe Thomas.

Lastly, Neither Ike Taylor nor Jonathon Joseph deserve to be ahead of Leon Hall on this list. As a Bengals fan I'm slightly biased towards both Joseph and Hall making the list, but if I could only choose one of them it would definitely be Hall.

This is probably the best answer that could have been given. I even thought it was a little out there.

And this would be mine almost exactly. The only thing I would change is Terrell Suggs. I'm sorry, I know that is both Steelers OLB's as the OLB's but c'mon. Terrell Suggs isn't better than Harrison. In any aspect of the game.

He's better in coverage. He is the better run stopper. Harrison can just get to the QB better

RWO is right Suggs is better at coverage, and is a freaking beast against the run and always makes big plays, but I still would take Harrison over Tsizzle

I wouldn't take two pass rushers. I would have one and then have Suggs.

Harrison benefits from having Lamar Woodley opposite him as opposed to Suggs having Jarrett Johnson, who is a fine player but not Woodley.

Also, I think Suggs is better in terms of his versatility. You can very easily take Suggs from his OLB and put him in a 3 point stance at RDE.

So you can have the ability to have a 4 man line as follows

LDE - Aaron Smith/Lamar Woodley
UT - Haloti Ngata
NT - Shaun Rogers
RDE - Terrell Suggs

So that is why I prefer Suggs.

Fair enough, i guess it all depends on what you want out of your 34 OLB.

Absolutely. If you want to run a pure 3-4 like the Steelers do, Harrison is probably your guy, but personally, I love the hybrid 3-4/4-3 that the Patriots and Browns run... a ton of different looks and ways to put defensive players in position to succeed and confuse the offense.

Thats what happens when you win championships. The worst line in the division is the cleveland browns, and its not even close. I debated whitowrth and gaither, who i like but starks has the rings as a starting tackle, and their offense has been the best the past few years of all.

You mean anquan boldin isnt on the talent level of hines ward. If you look at the career production or even last year production the winner is hines.

Joe thomas is the nfls most overrated player. We all know why everyone thinks joe thomas is great. I would take whitworth, starks, or gaither over him any day. The guys done nothing but be party to the nfl worst offenses. They cant run block, they cant pass block, yet this guy is some kind of superstar. The proof aint in the pudding as they say as far as joe thomas goes.

You could put anyone in there opposite ike taylor, joseph just seemed like the best choice.

If that was the case, then it would be all steelers now wouldnt it. I mean that is what its about. Playing on winning teams. Unless its whos the best fantasy football player. Thats a different topic. Thats why theres no cleveland browns on the list.

I wouldn't say that Suggs is better than Harrison at run defense. Harrison has had more tackles than Suggs. Yeah tackles don't mean **** to judge a player, but I believe Harrison is just as good as Suggs at run defense if not better. Suggs is a better coverage LBer, though.

Well, just pure stats:
profootball rates Harrison:
Overall: 22,7
Rush: 21.8
Coverage: 1.9
Run: 3.0

http://www.profootballfocus.com/by_p...&playerid=1251

Suggs is rated as a DE, and here are the stats:

Overall:5.5
Rush: -6.2
Coverage: 0.5
Run: 17.2

http://www.profootballfocus.com/by_p...&playerid=1326

I know these are just stats, but still. The only thing where he beats Harrison is run defense.

You could put anyone in there opposite ike taylor, joseph just seemed like the
best choice.
Dude, you are so dumb...

No i am so smart. Wheres the proof that joe thomas is great. Aint in the running game, aint in the passing game, aint in the wins and losses.

Ill tell you where it is, the fans vote him to the pro bowl because three reasons, one you can figure out, 2 they remeber he was the third pick in the draft and all the hype, 3 the media doesnt want to admit that the hype machine for joe thomas was wrong, so they keep saying how great he is although it never plays out between the white lines.

And that is the truth of the matter.

I don't know exactly where to begin, but I'll give it a try here.

First of all, a ring doesn't make you better than someone without a ring. There are many reasons to claim a player is better than another, but a Superbowl ring isn't one of them. Through out the history of this league, there have been thousands of 2nd string nobodies (even some who played in a Superbowl) who have rings and an equal amount of great talented players who don't have a ring (also some who haven't played in a Superbowl). A Superbowl is a team effort and giving individual credit based on a team merit is ludicrous.

Secondly, I think Hines Ward is an awesome player and I think he adds a lot to his team. But him and Boldin are similar type receivers and frankly if you're going to choose between the two I don't understand how you can pass on the younger and arguably more talented receiver (who has already set several records such as: fastest player to 500 receptions). Unless of course, you're picking Hines out of blind homerism.

Lastly, Joe Thomas definitely is over hyped and overrated. But regardless of that, he's still the best Left Tackle in this division. While he may be part of some of the worst NFL offenses of recent, that does mean he's the cause of them being the worst NFL offenses. You can't produce results with 1 good player and that's all the Browns have had for a couple of years.

"And that is the truth of the matter."
