ewoks don't bother me that much. afterall it's kind of poetic, little fuzzy bears with sticks and stones are the ones who defeated the Empire. Return of the Jedi in a lot of ways is the best Star Wars movie.

I love love love LOTR, but I can't imagine preferring it over Star Wars. Star Wars is just as good the billionth time, while LOTR drags a little more and isn't as easy to rewatch (though to be fair it is like 3+ hrs. for each movie) and there is no Orlando Bloom or CGI in star wars.

They are good movies, but Empire Strikes Back towers over the other two in regards to quality. (although my opinion would be different if I would have been there to appreciate A New Hope's cultural impact.)

I can attest to that. Star Wars was my childhood. My earliest memory is going to see Star Wars with my father. The scene where Luke is talking to Ben and Ben hears Luke speak the name "Obi Wan", when you add in the music that accompanies that scene, it truly is magical.
