He had more career catches than Hall of Famer Lynn Swann. Considering he got that many catches while being behind the likes of Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Terrell Owens, Brent Jones, etc. I think he had a pretty darn productive career.

Starting Jake Delhomme in 2009... Kasay kicking off in the superbowl.

How is that even relevant? Swann played in the 1970s on a team that ran the ball 60% of the time. He's in the Hall of Fame because he's the second most dominant postseason WR in NFL history behind only Rice.

JJ Stokes may not have been awful, but he was incredibly, incredibly mediocre.

Look at the Niners drafts after Walsh retired and before Scot McCloughan became GM.

Yea, Kevin Johnson has more career catches than Lynn Swann... just a different era, but I still don't think Lynn Swann is a Hall of Fame player. It just seems like if you put him in for what is basically Superbowl X, you might as well put Timmy Smith in too for his game against Denver

definitely starting Delhomme last year.
too soon to tell how good Everette Brown will be but i dont think hell live up to the 1st round pick we traded to get him in the second.
drafting Kerry Collins number 1 overall
George Seifert *cringe*

Default Parcells

Holy crap that was bad.

Hiring Jim Fassell over Bill Parcells. Its funny the Giants changed their mind and wanted to rehire Parcells, but it was too late bc they already made the phone call to Fassell telling him he won the job. I wonder how different things would have been if we rehired Parcells.

John Huffnagel, Tim Lewis, Bill Sheridan. Basically poor coordinators throughout the Coughlin era outside of Spagnuolo.

If you think about it, if it wasn't for Spags, Coughlin's tenor in NY would be viewed as extremely mediocre, and he probably wouldn't have a job right now.

We'll see what Perry Fewell brings to the table.
I didn't know that Parcells almost went back to the Giants. You learn something new every day.

Now for Denver's personnel blunders over the years:

2008: Not so many mistakes that year as "What ifs", although signing the Dumb and Dumber safety tandem (McCree and Manuel) and bringing in DeWayne Robertson were pretty stupid decisions.

2007: Trading up to take Jarvis Moss. Terrible. Looking back, the Broncos should have traded that pick to Cleveland for their 07 #2 and 08 #1 so they could get Quinn. We could have gotten Weddle in Round 2 along with Tim Crowder, and had more picks later since we wouldn't have traded them to Jacksonville. And, we could have gotten Mendenhall or even Chris Johnson along with Clady. That would have been ownage.

2006: Letting Trevor Pryce go.

2005: Drafting Maurice Clarett. Barber and Brandon Jacobs went a few picks later. Also, taking the other two corners that we did besides Darrent Williams. We could have had people like Kirk Morrison and Kerry Rhodes instead.

2004: Our whole draft outside of D.J. Williams.

2003: Our whole draft, period. For example, we could have had Anquan Boldin or Umenyiora in Round 2 instead of Terry Pierce. Also, we could have had David Diehl in Round 5 instead of Ben Claxton. And, we should have taken Tony Romo in Round 6 or 7 in lieu of the other stiffs. In addition, signing FA DT Daryl Gardener was a big mistake.

2002: Lelie over Ed Reed.

2001: Willie Middlebrooks over Todd Heap, Reggie Wayne, Ocho Cinco, etc...

2000: Trading out of the 10th pick with Baltimore, and taking Deltha O'Neal 15th overall. We should have stayed there and drafted Ron Dayne, John Abraham, or Shaun Ellis. Also, bringing in stiffs like S Billy Jenkins and DE's Lester Archambeau and Kavika Pittman didn't help, either.

1999: Dale Carter's FA signing. They should have kept Tory James instead. Also, giving Brian Griese the opening day nod over Bubby Brister was a mistake.

1998: Drafting WR Marcus Nash and S Eric Brown in the first two rounds instead of S Corey Chavous and WR's Az Hakim or Hines Ward. Also, drafting Brian Griese in Round 3 instead of Jason Fabini or DE Lorenzo Bromell.

1996: Trading RB/KR Glyn Milburn. Drafting DT Mark Campbell in the third round over LB's Donnie Edwards and Earl Holmes.

1992: Tommy Maddox in the first round over Carl Pickens, John Fina, and Levon Kirkland. Also, not getting better value for RB Bobby Humphrey in a trade besides Sammie "fumblefingers" Smith.

1991: Should have taken WR Herman Moore, MLB Keith Traylor, and WR Jake Reed or Erik Williams with their first three picks instead of OLB Mike Croel, TE Reggie Johnson, and Traylor.

1988: Ted Gregory over Michael Dean Perry, Thurman Thomas, Jumbo Elliott, etc....

1984: Trading their 86 first and third round picks and their 87 fifth rounder to the Bengals for LB Ricky Hunley. Also, drafting DE Andre Townsend in Round 2(that was their first pick that year after the Elway trade) instead of DE Sean Jones and WR Daryl Turner.

1980: Trading a first rounder and a second rounder that year for QB Matt Robinson.

1979: Drafting OT Kelvin Clark over OT Kent Hill and RB William Andrews.

1977: Drafting OG Steve Schindler and RB Rob Lytle in the first two rounds instead of WR Wesley Walker and RB Wendell Tyler.
