Most of the people I hang out with prefer beer, but I'll take whiskey as my number one choice. I hate beer and can not drink it. I'll drink rum if there is nothing else available, but I love whiskey. Add a little water or put it on the rocks and I'm set. Like many, I tried SoCo and thought I was a man doing shots, but unless you drink 100 proof, is is just way too sweet, and some bottles of 100 are sweet. I really don't drink it much anymore, but I won't turn it down either. Johnnie Walker Black Label is a great drink to just sip on, leave it as it is. This past weekend all that was availabel to me was Beer and Captain Morgan, and I figured it was a perfect opportunity to try Captain and Coke. Good stuff, but I honestly preferred sipping on the captain by tiself more. I tried adding a bit of gatorade in one of the drinks, the red berry (whatever flavor it is) and it wasn't bad.

This was put on shelves at liquor stores this week, so I bought two.
I'll report on this Maker's 46 later.

Love you hard liquor. I can't wait until I start making my own moonshine.

Drinks of choice:
1a. Jameson straight
1b. Vodka 7 / Tonic (all night long)
1c. White Russians (all day long)
1d. 7 & 7
Clearly, whisky and vodka are my preferred types of liquor. I much rather prefer Irish whisky over American for some reason. Rarely will I go around rum due to the disgusting sweetness. Haven't had much experience with gin. Tequila always makes for a very interesting night.

In my current post-breakup state, I find Jack Daniels to be the most relieving and self destructive of all the whiskeys I normally enjoy. Jameson is normally my drink, and it serves its purpose as well, but there is something gleefully hateful about Jack.

it's the only vodka I buy. welcome to texas.
Also, Maker's 46 is, without a doubt, the best whiskey I've ever had. WITHOUT A DOUBT.

I saw that earlier tonight but, with all honesty, I cannot tell you how smooth this 46 is. I urge all you whiskey fans out there to spring for a bottle. So good.

You should drink 30 bottles of it and make a thread about it.

If I could drink one bottle without passing out, I would!
I feel like there is a Case Day 2.0 thread being pushed. And, while I would love to, I can't in the near future. Maybe this coming spring.

1. I will case day it sometime before school starts
2. How much was the Makers? I may spring for a bottle although I just ran out of Plymouth and God knows I need that for my after work martini.
3. How did you drink it? I usually go neat or with a teaspoon of water or so.

1) DO IT
2) it was 37.99 for a 750ml bottle (WORTH IT)
3) I usually do a twelve-count pour and about a handful of ice

Alright cool. Case day will be done. 37.99 actually isnt bad (I tend to splurge on liquor if it is just a bottle for me that I can take my time enjoying. It will probably be a little more expensive here, but no biggie). I think I will try it neat first and then see if it needs some water added......guess a trip to the liquor store is in order shortly.
