I think just the 1st round will be sufficient.

Solid pick ups.
Draft
1st-Marcell Dareus - DE - Alabama
Would be a good pick.
2nd-Jeremy Beal - DE/OLB - Oklahoma
IMO he is terribly over rated, and has been dominated by all accounts in the first day of the senior bowl, I see his stock falling big time...
3rd-Benjamin Ijalana - OT - Villanova
I dont see him falling into the third round...
4th-Ahmad Black - S - Florida
Interesting...
4th-(SEA)-Casey Matthews - ILB -Oregon
Good pick.
5th-Luke Stocker - TE - Tennessee
Not sure he falls this far, but if he does good pick.
*5th-James Brewer - OT - Indiana
Personally there is nothing about him that I like from what I have seen, but what do I know?
6th-Shareece Wright - CB - USC
Solid.
7th-Jerrod Johnson - QB -Texas A&M
Horrible pick, even as a developmental prospect, IMO..
*Trade
Terrence McGee for 5th and conditional 5th in 2012, bumps up to 4th if he plays at least 78% of D snaps.
Not bad...
Depth Chart
QB - Ryan Fitzpatrick , Tyler Thigpen , Jerrod Johnson
RB - Fred Jackson , C.J. Spiller , Quinton Ganther
FB - Corey McIntyre
TE - Jonathan Stupar, Shawn Nelson , Luke Stocker
Our TE's are horrible...
WR1 - Lee Evans , David Nelson
WR2 - Steve Johnson , Marcus Easley
Slot - Roscoe Parrish , Donald Jones
LT - Demeterius Bell , Ed Wang
LG - Andy Levitre , Kraig Urbik
C - Eric Wood , Geoff Hangartner
RG - Chad Rinehart , Kraig Urbik
RT - Benjamin Ijalana , James Brewer
DE - Dwan Edwards , Alex Carrington , Spencer Johnson
NT - Kyle Williams , Torell Troup
DE - Marcell Dareus , Marcus Stroud
OLB - Jeremy Beal , Antonio Coleman
Moats should be starting here.
ILB - Paul Posluszny , Casey Matthews
ILB - Brandon Siler , Andra Davis
OLB - Shawne Merriman , Arthur Moats , Danny Batten
CB - Drayton Florence , Leodis McKelvin , Reggie Corner , Ashton Youboty , Shareece Wright

I think that we can minimize our horrible run defense by improving our offense and by putting up points fast, forcing teams to play from behind and throw the football more into our skilled secondary. I'd prefer a draft like this:
*= trade a 3rd and a 4th to move up.
1.) AJ Green, WR, Georgia (6'4 205lbs; a franchise caliber WR, he's been compared to Randy Moss & Calvin Johnson)
2.) Mike Pouncey, OG, Florida (6'4 310; great pedigree, allows us to move Wood to center)
*2b.) DeMarcus Love, OT, Arkansas (6'5 315; a big mobile and physical RT who excels at pass blocking and fast enough to get to the 2nd level in the running game)
4.) Casey Matthews, ILB, Oregon (6'2 235lbs; a physical and aggressive linebacker to play alongside Poz)
5.) KJ Wright, OLB, Mississippi St. (6'4 250lbs; could likely play inside as well)
5b.) Tom Keiser, OLB, Stanford (6'5 244lbs; big cerebral linebacker, smart player)
6.) Kenrick Ellis, NT, Hampton (6'5 340lbs; massive run stopping rotational piece)
7.) Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama (6'3 225lbs; Pennington like QB, very cerebral)
Free agency:
Marcus Spears, DE, Dallas
Vince Young, QB, Titans
Paul Posluszny, ILB, Buffalo
Drayton Florence, CB, Buffalo
Roster:
QB: Fitzpatrick, Young, McElroy
RB: Spiller, Jackson
FB: McIntyre
WR1: Evans, Green, Parrish
WR2: Johnson, Nelson
LT: Demetrius Bell, Demarcus Love
LG: Andy Levitre, Geoff Hangartner
C: Eric Wood, Geoff Hangartner
RG: Mike Pouncey, Kraig Ubrick
RT: DeMarcus Love, Ed Wang
LDE: Marcus Spears, Alex Carrington
NT: Kyle Williams, Torell Troup
RDE: Dwan Edwards, Kenrick Ellis
OLB: Shawne Merriman, KJ Wright
ILB: Paul Posluszny
ILB: Casey Matthews
OLB: Arthur Moats, Tom Keiser
CB1: Leodis McKelvin, Drayton Florence
CB2: Terrence McGee, Reggie Corner
FS: Jairus Byrd, George Wilson
SS: Bryan Scott, George Wilson

Right now, i am leaning towards this... but it is so early, a lot can change... especially after the combine.
1) Nick Fairley / Marcel Darius (in that order). DE(3-4) DT(4-3)
2) Jake Locker QB - Looks like he is slipping into the 2nd round. selecting him in the 2nd round takes pressure off of him, he still is talented, and maybe sitting for a while will allow him to work on his accuracy.
3) Luke Stocker TE - One of the only complete TE's in this draft.
4a) Sam Acho OLB - might not last this long, but seems to be one of those guys who does nothing great, but everything well.
4b) Marcus Gilbert OT - will probably move to the right side, but would be a versatile depth player.

I'm acting as the Bills GM in the Forum mock.
So far I selected Von Miller at pick #3 and trade up to select Nate Solder at pick #30.
Any constructive and intelligent feedback is appreciated.

That would be an excellent draft so far but what did you pay to move up and what OLmen were still possibly available at that point.

I traded 2.3, 4.25 and 6.4. Sherrod was still on the boards, but it turns out GB took him at 32.

Round 1 Von Miller OLB
Round 2 Hopefully OT falls out of first Sherrod/Solder/Carimi if not Martez Wilson ILB
Round 3 Greg Jones ILB
Round 4 If OT was taken in round 2 draft Casey Mathews ILB if Wilson was taken draft Marcus Gilbert OT
Round 4 Rob Housler TE
Round 5 Jeron Johnson S
Round 6 Derek Newton OT
Round 7 Ollie Ogbu DT/DE
Round 7 Justin rogers or Josh Thomas CB's
Taking three LB's should cure this group for years to come of course we should resign Poz and keep Moats. Goodbye Maybin and Kelsey to the bench! One of the OT should lock down the right side for years to come. Housler will be a great receiving TE. He has great hands speed and height needs to work on blocking. Ogbu would be depth behind Troup, Carrington, Johnson and Edwards. Need a Veteran QB for back up. No Qb is worth the third pick they are both all hype with people desperate to want to find one. QB drafted next year, that is if fitz doesnt carry on with his play from the last few games last year.

Lol, of course they did... Sherrod plays in the SE area of the country where Buddy Nix loves to get his players from, I would think that would also mean Sherrod for the Bills with a trade up to get a OT...

I want Marcell Dareus then Patrick Peterson at #3. If we take Miller I will be pissed i don't care if people think he is a beast. All those same people said the same stuff about Maybin, great first step, speed speed speed. Yes Miller has move moves and isn't a 1 year wonder but Dareus and Peterson are imo sure things where Miller who the hell knows. If we take Gabbert I will punch Nix in the balls.
Dalton in R2 I'll be pissed as well we have him on the team already in Fitz. Ponder blows as well we need a QB with an arm.

My Mock
1-Patrick Peterson-CB-LSU
2-Brooks Reed-OLB-Arizona
3-Jarvis Jenkins-DE/DT-Clemson
4-Kelvin Sheppard-ILB-LSU
4-Casey Matthews-ILB-Oregon
5-Ahmad Black-SS-Florida
*5-DeMarcus Love-OG-Arkansas
6-David Mims-OT-Virginia Union
7-Zach Pianalto-TE-North Carolina
7-Trevis Turner-OT-Abilene Christian
Yea i know 6 players on D in a row.
Peterson is #1 on my board. Cam and Dareus are gone.
Reed in R2 is better than Miller at 3 imo.
Need another 34 DE.
Kelvin and Casey will give us depth at ILB with one starting by Poz.
I think Black will fall due to size and his work out numbers but he is a player.
Love is a G only and won't go were everyine thought he'd go months ago.
Mims a big boy, lets see if he can become our RT.
Zach good blocking TE to help the LT and RT.
Turner another big boy.
Then in 2012 hope we have pick 1 and get our QB in Luck.
*Terrence McGee for 5th and conditional 5th in 2012, bumps up to 4th if he plays at least 78% of D snaps.

I'm getting close to finalizing what I want/expect the Bills to do draft day. In this drat I'm assuming the Carolina takes Newton and Denver takes Dareus. I also think these guys would be #1 and #2 on the Bills board.
If we don't take a QB in the 1st, I don't think we should take one at all. There is no point on reaching for a guy in the 2nd or 3rd who may never be more than a backup, when we should be able to get starters at other positions with those picks. Give with a chance with a stabilized line and healthy WR's and see what he can do being the #1 going into camp. If he fails we will likely have a shot at Barkley, Jones, Foles, Lindley, etc...whoever establishes themselves as the #2 or #3 QB behind Luck. (I don't think we'll be bad enough to have a shot at him)
If we don't address the 5 tech position in the 1st, I think we will wait till the 4th as this is a deep draft for D-line and its likely that the guy we draft will be a rotational player, as I feel Carrington will start. There were some performance metrics on a site that said Carrington was great in the time he played and we needed to give him more playing time.
On to the mock.......
1. Von Miller OLB Texas A&M
2. Derek Sherrod OT Miss St.
3. Kelvin Sheppard ILB LSU
4a. Curtis Marsh CB Utah St.
4b. Lawrence Guy DE Arizona St.
5. Julius Thomas TE Portland St.
6. Joe Lefeged SS Rutgers
7a. Josh Bynes ILB Auburn
7b. Allen Bradford RB USC
What are your thoughts?

3. Buffalo (4-12) - Von Miller LB/Texas A&M
30. Buffalo Bills (f/ NYJ) (11-5) - Nate Solder OT/Colorado
65. Buffalo (f/ CAR) (2-14) - Andy Dalton QB/TCU
100. Buffalo Bills (4-12) - Casey Matthews LB/Oregon
133. Buffalo (4-12) - Brandon Bair DT/Oregon
245. Buffalo (compensatory) -Darvin Adams WR/Auburn
These were the results of the Bills forum mock. Thoughtful and intelligent comments are appreciated. Keep in mind, I am in no way, shape or form a Bills fan. I was merely serving as their GM for the forum mock.

Miller seems likely if he is not taken by the Broncos, I dont like the trade up for Solder, because he does not help the run game, and I dont think is a significant upgrade over Bell by any means in that department, I also do not see him playing RT, IMO the trade makes little sense, if they trade up it'll be for a QB. Which is why I like the trade up for Dalton, although I think he is long gone in all reality. I think they are looking for more of a "Thumper" next to Poz, however if Poz is declared a FA, and leaves I like the Matthews pick, if not he does not fit what they are looking for. Bair is a good pick, and as a comp pick, Adams is not too bad, although the roster IMO is full at WR, especially with Easley coming back from injury, so I would go in another direction myself.

If Newton goes 1, and Miller 2, is anyone else estatic that the choice comes down to Dareus or Peterson? I am... I go Dareus, despite Peterson being #1 overall on my board, and being an L.S.U. fan. Thoughts?

I'd go Dareus as well.
34 Looks
DE - Edwards - Carrington
NT - Williams - Troupe
DE - Dareus - Johnson
Then you could play with some diff. 43 looks.
Williams moving to UT and Troupe coming in at NT.
Dareus or Edwards kicking inside and putting Moats or Marriman with their hand in the dirt.

We should not be moving up at all let alone twice. Bell is the LT and has done well enough, we need a RT. Don't like Dalton. Like Casey. Bair okay. We have WRs lots of decent ones #2's/#3's.
