I think Avery is the best Colorado brewery. I think I'll pick up a Beast or Mephisto for Thanksgiving... Great Divide is good, too.

Went to Blind Tiger Ale House this weekend. Has a pretty epic selection of beers. The night went something like this:
After all that goodness, I had perhaps the best beer I have ever tasted:
Just a ******* outstanding beer. Intense coffee flavor, really intense. I absolutely loved it though.

I think it is pretty decent.....would like a bit more ABV out of a winter seasonal, but the flavors are on for the most part.

Looking forward to the porter and stouts coming around. I'm going to brew a porter soon and was thinking of adding vanilla to secondary.

I like a mocha or coffee porter myself. Vanilla sounds good as well.

I was going to do a vanilla-chocolate porter. Still might, but the place I normally order from didn't have what I needed. Hoping to get some DDC in me soon.

Currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland and it has taken me a while to find some great American beers (used to live in San Diego), but I finally found a pub with a full menu of specialty beers. Had these guys...
Was definitely good to get a taste of some great American beers. The dogfish head 90 minute is obviously a classic, but I hadnt tried to Torpedo yet and it was truly excellent. The bartender was thrilled to talk to someone with an idea about American breweries (basically unknown over here, although I have seen dogfish head a place or two).

Yes it was B-Dawk. I had that last week and it was great. Everyone needs to get their hands on that.

Imo the Dubbel is one of the best beers out there.
