I don't care who they are, there is no way a team can shut down both your passing and rushing game like the saints did. They gave up 200+ rushing yards to the Ravens and we couldn't even get that much with rushing and passing combined.
We need a RB!

Defensively maybe, you guys manhandled our tackles. What i just didnt get was why your offensive playcalling was so conservative, deep shots wwere killing us like they did all season.
I still feel like the home teams winning both games between us would have been more fair than this way around.
Either way, good game, would be nice to come to georgia again in the playoffs, good luck

No matter who we play our offense is always conservative. I think the FO focused more on how to stop the offense then put points up during the week.

I think you guys are overreacting a bit on Turner. I think we need another RB and need to get away from giving Turner a gazillion carries each year, but he's good.

He needs to stop going sideways.

Saints had good penetration and did a nice job of holding the edge on the off tackle runs. Obviously the fumble was pathetic, but there wasn't much to be done running the ball.
My question is why do we never hit a quick pass? It seems like all of our passing plays take forever to develop. Seriously, look at that TD to Roddy. Any particular reason we don't run quick patterns like that more often? Bah, it's frustrating, but we'll still be #1.

A lost but a very important lost we had last nite with the miss ques we had in
this game the game was very still much in our hands it was better off that he
got this lost out of our way and learn from it prepare for Carolina and head
into the playoffs instead of us being hot and being on our high horse and may of ending up losing big in the playoffs this lost can
play a intricate part for us the rest of the season

Here's a quote from Darren Sharper.
Q: What was the key to shutting down the Falcons passing attack?
A: The main thing is that we knew who they were going to try to get the ball to. We keyed on certain players.
AKA, blanket Roddy and there's no one else.

Mularkey deserves to be slapped in the face after that **** performance last night. The saints were tight on Roddy and Gonzo but he kept calling the same plays. Running plays were exactly alike and the saints knew what was coming every time.
He didn't spread the saints out with anything.

Gotta love Matt Ryan, Ovie and Weems on there. A little surprised that we have 6 offensive players but no lineman, I guess Ovie counts with them. And I'm not happy that Brent Grimes is missing from the list.

It was a bad game from him, which is surprising since he called an amazing game the first time around. I have no problem staying committed to the run, but he just didn't execute that well at all. Still, the players have to make plays. At least we can pad those stats and lay a nice ass kicking on the Panthers.
And congrats to all our Pro Bowlers. They all deserved it, except Gonzo. But when you've had a career like he has, you are going to make a cheap Pro Bowl or two.

Not really Turner's fault he was getting mashed by a group of defenders before he could get his stumps churning.

Your biased opinion doesn't count.
I wish Mularkey would be smart enough to use Eric Weems on offense. We don't have a 2nd RB, and our slot WR is useless, but he just won't put the ball in his hands. The guy is a one man show on special teams weather we are covering or returning, but still he hasn't earned an end-around..

My opinion counts because it's right. Turner wasn't the problem, the blocking was.

I don't know, maybe I'm on my own here but I think that loss will help us in the long run. Losing that game will light a fire under a players' asses and having not experienced it in awhile maybe had us a little over-confident going into games. I actually like our chances coming out of that game, more than I did going into it. I saw our defense step it up big time, and although our offense was pure garbage we were still in the game. I can almost guarantee we won't see our offense play like they did that game again. I also agree that we are overreacting about Turner, grab a scatback in the 3rd-4th and take some carries off of Turner and I'll be happy. Our inside blocking was atrocious that game, Turner kept getting hit in the backfield, but obviously that was no excuse for his fumble. I think we go out there next week and absolutely thrash Carolina. IMO we see the hungriest Atlanta team we have seen in weeks.

Ok dude, you have been here for too long. If you want to discuss something then read where it started. I said falcons have an overrated running game and week after week Turner goes sideways and runs out of bounds, which is not his game. You come in and talk about the saints defense, so I called it biased because you are a Saints fan and it's not just the saints. We have seen this too often.
I'm not mad. This loss is not bad for our team, and we'll see you again. Good luck rest of the year.

The Saints committed two players and rolled zones in White's direction, effectively taking the three-time Pro Bowl receiver out of the game. He was held to a season-low in catches (three) and yards receiving (43).
Harry Douglas was targeted three times, but didn't have a catch.
"Douglas needs to be a bigger factor," Long said. "Jenkins coming off of this last game needs to continue on and take some of the pressure off of Roddy White. Roddy White has been something short of amazing on third downs and late in the football games."
Some stuff from Howie Long.

Also, it seems as if Mike Mularkey is a prime candidate for the Denver job. If he goes, I want McDaniels. Call me crazy, but I still like the guy a lot.

Mularkey said he wants to be a HC in the league. If it's not Denver, it will be somewhere else.

Harry Douglas was targeted 3 times on very important throws. He could have caught those, but I don't blame him as I do Mularkey. I believe those were bad play calls for him. If you want to throw to Harry Douglas I would say do quick 5 yard passes and let him make a few moves for the first.
I don't like having him run the post on 3rd and long.

Someone's gotta offer him the job first. He hasn't exactly been a world beater HC.
