First dates on VDay put a lot of pressure on guys to deliver something romantic and for girls to essentially put out. The pressure forces guys into situations where they overpay and overexpect and puts the girls on edge, so they don't relax and put out. In the end, it's just a waste of time.

I don't like being put in the situation where my expectations are perhaps unrealistic and my motives are called into question.
