Mock #2

Trades:

*Dallas Trades pick #9, #40, #71, 2011 3rd round pick to Denver for Pick #2. : Dallas is looking to make a splash with a true dynamic defensive playmaker. This is definitely a move I can see Jerry pulling. For Denver they have so many defensive needs they need as many picks as possible.

*Houston Trades pick #11, #42, #73 to Buffalo for pick #3: The Texans revamped 3-4 defense needs a serious pass rusher. Von Miller the local boy is one of the few players in the draft with star potential. With the Texans best option right now at 3-4 backer being Connor Barwin getting an impact player is a must. That pass rush will only help the pass defense, and I’m not sure the Texans want to draft another rookie corner.

*Minnesota trades pick #12, #43 to Arizona for pick #5: For Minnesota they absolutely have to assure they get a top tier QB and I believe they truly like Gabbert. In the grand scheme of things only giving up a 2nd rounder for a franchise QB is worth it instead of settling on a 2nd tier guy like Locker or Mallett at 12. For Arizona it would be horrible for them if both Von Miller and Patrick Peterson were gone at 5, so rather than reaching at 5 for a player better off picking up an extra 2nd rounder. Everything I’ve heard points to the Cards looking to acquire a veteran QB maybe Kolb or Mcnabb, not draft one.

*Washington trades pick #10 to San Diego for pick #18, pick #50: With an extra 2nd rounder the Chargers have the flexibility to move up and guarantee themselves the top 5 tech in the draft.

*Buffalo trades pick #11 to Tampa bay for pick #20, #51: With Ronde Barber nearing the end and Talib’s constant problems I think trading a 2nd rounder is well worth moving up in the draft for Amukamara who has a lot of similarities to Barber. Tampa has to trade to #11 knowing that the Cardinals would definitely pick Prince with the next pick.

* Detroit Lions trade pick #13, #107 to New York Giants for pick #19, 52: Detroit Lions pick up an extra 2nd rounder as Giants trade up for their franchise LT.

*Seattle trades pick #25, #99, 2012 5th rounder to Washington for pick #18: Seattle moves up to secure Jake Locker while Washington moves down again to acquire additional picks.

*Washington trades pick #25, #99 to Cincinnati for pick #35, #66: Cinci moves up to secure their WCO QB.

*Seattle trades 2011 1st round pick to New England for pick #33: With CB being a pressing need the Seahawks make an aggressive move with the Pats who are always willing to collect on future picks.

*Tennessee trades pick #39, #142 to Washington for pick #35: Tennessee moves up a couple of slots to lock in on Mallett with teams like Arizona waiting behind.

*Oakland trades pick #81, #133 to Washington for pick #66: Raiders trade up for their guy who is unlikely to fall to them with the slow of teams needing a rush OLB.

*New York Jets trade pick #126, #94 to Arizona for pick #69: Jets play aggressive even with limited picks to secure a 5 tech.

*Jacksonville trades picks # 114, 121, 147 to St Louis for pick #78: With Kaepernick being the only intriguing QB left they decide to bundle some of their many draft picks.

*San Francisco trades picks #141, #115 to Buffalo for pick #100: San Fran moves a bit in the draft to secure a top backup for Vernon Davis.

wow impressive, 2 7 rounders. My only real comment is i see the packers trading down somewhere in this draft. He likes to gain picks, he has down it almost every year.

The first Panthers mock is ugly to say the least. The second one is not too bad I like Greg Little, after that idk. DT is more of a need than DE.

Well for SF I love the second round mock only because we didn't get Gabbert. But sadly I do like the first mock better for the players we get at the value and yes even Gabbert at seven.IF JH thinks he is worth then he is our guy there.I wont be surprised if he brings along his FB from Standford.I also love the TE pick he should be a good solid big target and blocker as well.Would be better if we could get PP.Even bigger props for doing two full seven rounds though + rep there big time!

I like the first mock better (Jake Locker + Rahim Moore) than the second, although I do really like Gabbert so that one is okay.

+ rep for doing two 7 rounders, that's just a silly amount of work.

Well, well... that's quite a haul. I could quibble about specific fits, but the overall improvement to the defensive talent pool is impressive. Rep.

Amazing Vikings mocks, I coud get nitpicky but in one we get Locker, and in the other we get Gabbert, my 2 favorite QB's in the draft.

+rep for 14 rounds of glory

Either of these mocks for Denver would have me excited. The first mock with Liuget and Dareus would be basically an ideal scenario. The only suggestion in that mock I have is that Orlando Franklin would fill a larger hole at RT than Brown would at CB.

In the 2nd mock, I have never really thought about what Jordan would do in our defense, but we still get Liuget, a solid RT, plus a complete makeover of our LB corps so there's nothing really to complain about.

All around, really good job.

Impressive effort, just not really sold on the center safety combos you have going to the saints in both mocks, center definately isnt a need and safety is a really small one. Also think irving is a bit of a reach and he isnt the best lb on the board in either mock. You nailed the first and seventh for the saints in both mocks though

Love the first draft for the Falcons, like LOVE it.

But the 2nd one I like sort of. I hate our first round pick, but I love getting 2 WRs. Neither of them are the prospects I want, but getting 2 is something I think is a very real possibility for the Falcons this year.

For both Chicago and Jacksonville, both drafts are great. Mock One for Chicago is nearly perfect while mock two for the Jaguars may be a bit better.

love the idea of moving down to get picks but i think its highly unlikely we move around that much. would rather stay in the late first area and pick up at least one stud in the likes of heyward, brooks reed, wilkerson, maybe even locker. just seems unrealistic to move around that many times. williams in the 3rd is good value and a nice fit. dont like taking 2 ILBs though. Id swap out kelvin for a pass rusher. the powe pick is nice too.

First one is a little heavy on the WR position for the Pack. Sure Jones might be gone and Driver is getting older but I don't think they need to take three WRs in this draft. I actually think all three are nice options for the Pack but they should only pick one or two of them.

In the second one I'm not a big Quizz fan and I think he's a little too one dimensional for TT's tastes. He has said that he will not draft a PR/KR specialist and I'm not convinced he'll be much more than that in the NFL.

Probably rather have #1, but both are pretty solid drafts for Miami. Nice job!

A+ ++Rep for effort.
I agree about the WRs in the first scenario. I love all those WRs but we have Jennings, Jordy, Driver for sure coming back, and possibly Jones. So only 2 vacancies at the most.

I personally don't like Sheard, and do like Jacquizz big time, especially at that spot. I see a faster, slimmer Darren Sproles in him. Cecil Shorts will be a steal at that point.

The biggest weakness in both of these is the Packers need another OT badly. And as a tip, they tend to like the O-Linemen who are of the pale variety, FYI... if you want to be realistic.

This trade is horrible.....I could see us getting #78 for just the 114 and 147. Also considering our front office confirmed we will not be trading up for a QB

I know it's not followed closely but going by the draft pick value chart those 3 picks you give up are only worth 150 against the 78th pick which is worth 200 pounts. By the value chart a 50 point differential is the worth of a late 4th. I really don't think it's a bad trade for you at all when you are considering you are moving into the 3rd round and giving up mid round picks, plus it's for a QB.

New England Patriots
17: New England (f/Oakland): Tyron Smith: OT: Southern Cal
28: New England: Mark Ingram: RB: Alabama
33: New England(f/Carolina) Christian Ballard: DE: Iowa

125: New England: Ahmad Black: S: Florida
159: New England: Vincent Brown: WR: San Diego State
193: New England: Wayne Daniels: OLB: TCU

Love this one. Every year Pats fans are clamoring for an OLB early. Every year we're disappointed. I think the defensive side of the ball is more important this year so I'm not sure how likely it is we take OT/RB in round one but I'd be happy with this group.

New England Patriots

159: New England: Jake Kirkpatrick: C: TCU
193: New England: Armon Binns: WR: Cincinnati
New England also receives a 2012 First round Pick from Seattle

I like this one better, I think. Tough call since OLB is addressed so late, but I still like the idea of an extra 1st next year and love the top 4 picks here.
