And Jordan, you know, went to college, so his career started later.

Yup MJ won his first championship in his 7th year as a pro, this is LeBron's 8th year, that's the number that matters not age. Who cares what the age is, just like how Josh Smith is the youngest player in league history to 500 blocks, it's a nice stat but doesn't mean he was the fastest to 500. Also MJ didn't need to join a super squad to win a ring. People need to look at that 1990/91 club MJ won his first ring with. That team had no allstars or all NBA players aside from him, MJ carried that team completely. They had as mediocre of a roster that you can find. Pippen was young and not an allstar yet and the rest of the roster were role players at best. Their interior defense was poor. I just find it funny how LeBron quit last year knowing he had the #1 team in the league and had a chance to win a chip in his 7th year like MJ.

Straight out of high school vs. 3 years of college?

Any championship that Lebron wins is meaningless. The mass majority won't give him equal credit that past players got.
Lebron winning rings is pretty much on par with Gary Payton as far as I'm concerned.

It's not like Jordan was considered the greatest ever at 26. And whether LeBron played in college or not is irrelevant. The point is LeBron could potentially play another decade or more. His career is likely far from over.

There will never be a greater influence on the game of basketball. ...but I don't know... does that count or are you just talking skillz? MJ's impact was more than just skills. MJ made those around him better and won Championships with them.
Lebron is overrated. Kobe is better. Shaq in his prime is arguably the best if you're talking dominating player who can't be stopped. They changed the rules because of him.
|
How is Kobe better than LeBron? yes, I know Kobe won five championships but he is not better. I know most of you guys in here hate LeBron because he did the unthinkable and joined a good instead of giving the Cavs 7 more years to find him help.

Lebron cant hold Jordan's jock, and he never will.

Grant and Pippen were good to great defense of players IDK about the other 2. Tell me if you would take any of the Cav player LeBron has played with over a 1990 Pippen or Grant

Cause the guy came into the league calling himself King trying to be the next Jordan and then pulls a 2 year saga about his FA only to go and join Wade's team.

They stayed with their teams through the good times and the bad. Magic stepped into a pretty damn good situation, but MJ went through some brutal times but he never bailed.

And by doing so, he gave up the willingness to "be the man".
He didn't want to be a franchise player that the team could build around. He didn't want to be the man, so nobody should crown him. He gave that up. He just wanted to win. Even if it was the easy way. He chose being Wade's sidekick rather than building around him.
