James lost in the Finals once as the leader of the Cavs and now is on his way to earning a ring as the second fiddle to D-Wade, who will win his 2nd Finals MVP if Miami can win two more games...it also sets the tone for the remainder of their time together; it's Wade's team and LeBron is the sidekick

Yeah, because Wade is clearly being defended equally as good as LeBron. Switch Marion with Terry/Stevenson, and you will get different stats by each LeBron and Wade.

And if LeBron would have had Shaq, and some quality three-point shooters while he was on the Cavs, he might have actually had a shot in the Finals.(And if the league hated the Spurs owner too)

That's so laughable...LeBron James, supposedly the greatest player on the planet according to you, couldn't perform up to his level because a 33 year old Shawn Marion was guarding him and I also want to defend Stevenson, who is a physical defender and is no slouch on that end of the floor.

Yeah, cause I obviously said he was the best player on the planet. I'm a Bulls fan, but it's not like I like MJ too. And what does Marion's age have to do with anything? How do you think he even made it to the NBA? His offense? And Stevenson is actually a pretty average defender compared to Marion.

Obviously LBJ would dominate Terry when he has a foot of height on him and like 100 pounds as well. LBJ would just take jump shots right over Terry. They arent going to put a PG on a guy that is 6-8 265.

Plus, Dirk gets double teamed and pulled off 34 pounds and 11 rebounds.

It's Wade's team, Wade always owns the finals, LeBron realizes that he is the #2 on this team when it matters, no shame in that. He can be regular season King the next 10 years, championship time though is Dwade's time.

Yea Wade has had a fantastic two games but LeBron is the best player in the world and Wade is only close in spurts. I guess we're going to completely ignore the entire season and playoffs and only look at these past two games?

And these refs are a joke. Another terribly officiated game. Pathetic.

LeBron outplayed Wade in all the previous series, and I'm pretty sure those series still mattered. They wouldn't even be in the finals if it wasn't for LeBron in those series.

If putting Terry on LeBron is a stupid idea, then do you see why Wade has it easier?

Um yea cuz Wade is also 6'8" 270lbs. I must have missed his 5" growth spurt and 50lbs muscle gain.

They're both skilled, and taller than Terry. If Wade's as good as you guys say he is, then he has a huge advantage over LeBron.

They are different positions so that argument has no validity. That's like saying Kobe had it easier than Shaq because if Shaq was being guarded by Reuben Patterson he'd score 100 ppg.

Again if you are going to make that argument then I can make the argument that if LeBron is so great how can a 33 year old Marion slow him down.

Marion being 33 years old makes no difference. It's been his best defensive year statistically ever since the Suns got rid of him.

My original argument about that was that Wade has it easier, which he does.

How does age have no difference on Marion or 4 inches and 50 pounds Lebron had over Wade not matter?

The fact that Dallas is a better defensive team than those Run N Gun Phoenix teams also has a smidge to do with it too.

Did you just make that up? Lets see his rebounding is it's lowest since his rookie season. Steals again tied with the lowest of his career his rookie year. Blocks lowest in his career ever. So what stats are you talking about exactly? There is no question Marion lacks the quickness and ability to get off his feet quick like he once did. Still a good defender but I don't get where you get that he's all of a sudden had a career rejuvination. He was just off the radar in Miami and Toronto.

I was unaware that rebounding was a defensive stat. And you can't just look at steals and blocks to analyze a player's defensive performance. Look at the advanced stats. 93.8 def. rating at SF, 3.4 def. win shares, and 1.07 dPPP.

Compare them to someone like Dwight Howard, and someone who isn't a great defender.

Good reasoning. Is that code for "I don't understand this, so why don't I throw a hissy fit"?

@raiders4life: Good point. D'Antoni could care less about defense, and probably didn't do any defensive game planning like Dallas.

"Haha really?" counts as a hissy fit? Good deduction. Keep up the good basketball knowledge. You pick and choose what points count and which don't based on your own argument. You compare things that are not comparable. You rely on some ******** statistics that say Marion is a better defender than Howard. Your basketball knowledge doesn't leave a stat sheet, and your common sense seems to lack as well.

Prock you always seem willing to bash other posters thoughts but i rarely see you add any insight yourself. You act like you have this superior basketball knowledge but from what i've seen there is nothing at all to support that.
