New CBA Rules:

Soft Cap
The soft cap is a 3 year transition that will eventually set the cap at $50M.

2011-12 Season: $55M
2012-13 Season: $52M
2013-14 Season: $50M

*Any spending over that will result in a dollar for dollar luxury cap.

Mid-Level Exception
The MLE will be reduced to 3 years, $4M per year. It can be split up, but it cannot be traded.

Amnesty Clause
Teams have the option of using the Amnesty Clause on 1 player that will release the player from their roster and clear the player's salary from their cap. The player can sign with any other team and immediately becomes a FA. Teams still have to pay the player the salary he was owed.

Sign & Trade Deals
No change. Sign & Trade deals will remain the same
