We are trying to help WMD here. I think we are getting away from helping him and instead just fighting with each other now.
If you want to buy a premade comp check out neweggs section of premade computers. You can find some really good deals there.
If you are up to building your own do a little research and build one...it will be an experience that isnt too difficult.

The best PC I've ever owned was one put together for me by a local shop. It's great to build a PC if you know how to do it right and have the patience for all the potential problems. I wasn't thrilled with the two PCs I had friends help me build, so I gave it up. I'd rather pay extra and get a good PC without the headaches. If you have a local shop that will build it, I recommend checking them out and asking for a quote. If they offer an acceptable price and a warranty, I recommend considering that option. When things go wrong, you can always just throw your PC in your car and take it to them. They'll want your business, so it's not like they'll just blow you off if they screwed something up.

If you want, I can give you 10 reasons why it's hard if not impossible to upgrade a pre-built machine (or any machine) these days.
If you are buying pre-built, expect to use basically what you've bought for the next 5 years (or longer if you use it more).

I would debate you here too... Seeing as ive done it.

i agree with this as a matter of actual practice, and maybe that was the original difference. i thought a machine like the one MOTH posted would be perfect for what WMD was looking for.

i also agree that it's really not that hard to build one, but then my friend calls me to ask which plug to put the USB stick into (joke joke joke). so while *i* think it's easy, it's just not something that some people can do unless they want to invest a lot more time and effort into understanding.

He is also the friend who tried to swallow his Lego pieces... and really, maybe some Darwinism style electrocutions would harm the human race if everyone were encouraged to build for themselves :)

For those following the game, Star Wars: The Old Republic opened up pre-order information today.
If you want to pre-order the Collectors Edition I'd suggest NOT doing it at Gamestop as something in their system is funky. When you pre-order you get a headstart access code that allows you to play the game early, but they aren't giving them out for CE because of a problem with their system.
I pre-ordered it on Amazon and got my code and verifications instantly.

Cain, make SURE that you have a COLLECTORS EDITION key. I read that they're giving people STANDARD keys instead. The Standard key is rumored to only give a THREE day headstart while the CE key is giving a SIX day headstart.

I always hate CE on games. It always sees what you get is awesome but when you actually get it it sucks...for instance...I ordered the CE of Age of Conan way back...you got a leveling cape with it or something but they didnt tell you in preorder that it only worked until you were lvl 15 or something.
The only real bonus is the 3 extra days...but is 90 bucks worth it to me...no.

There is a store that is only available to people who got the CE edition of SW:TOR. No one knows what will be in it, but that is something.

So when is TOR being released there is no date at game stop.I jumped right over to see after reading here. Also I was curious whats the low down on MMO games for PC.Are they free to play online? The only reason I ask is DC online was making you pay is why I never got that game for ps3.Will TOR be the same price around 15 or so a month or will the yearly plan?

Yes TOR is going to cost something to play more then likely it will be between 15-20 Bucks a month. There usually is a yearly plan when it comes to MMO that charge to play there will also prolly be Time cards u can buy.
If u want a Free MMO i suggest getting Diablo 3 when it comes out. Also Guilds Wars is ok if ur into MMOs.

Diablo isn't a MMO. Guild Wars 2 looks like a very promising non-subscription mmo. I wouldn't get Guild Wars with GW2 just around the corner.
But yeah TOR will be around $15-16 per month. It's pretty much the standard subscription fee.

I would consider Diablo a MMO even thought there is a single player.

4 People parties like the first really isn't an MMO. An MMO has the entire world populated with other peoples characters.

exactly. diablo hasn't ever been a 'massively multiplayer' game. unless you want to suggest that, say, gears of duty whatever is an mmo.

People who don't know the difference between a multiplayer online game and a massively multiplayer online game... I don't know how the two concepts have become so foggy to so many people over the last 10 years.

So...EA F*CKED up everything today...
Apparently, they're too good for Steam, so they're pulling all of their games off of the Steam system and are launching their own system called Origin. I don't trust this **** AT ALL. Also, with Origin, your lose the games after 2 years and all of your **** gets deleted.
Steam has done soooo much for PC gaming, and now EA comes in and ***** it all up... I don't know that I'll be playing TOR now. I don't want that **** on my computer because, like I said, I don't trust it...
