2010 dead money will not count towards the cap so the Jets are $7.8 million under the cap, not $1.3 million over which was being reported. Aso to the Jets is a real possibility...

Rumor is Sanzenbacher has narrowed it down to Buffalo or Cincinnati.
Cincinnati is also Rumored to be targeting Jim Sorgi or Bruce Gradkowski in FA.

Really does not matter which one that sign. Team has basically been saying that Andy Dalton is the starter. Gradkowski would be the one i wanted out of those 2.

Nice to see Pianalto get picked up by us. Always like giving the Buffalo guys a look, too, and Cook usually held his own in a talented secondary. Sure don't mind that Sanzenbacher rumor.
Carolina making some good looking pickups tonight.

Hard hitting S who is very good against the run. He's a little below average in coverage because he gets turned around sometimes but he can be average in that area. Excellent ST player who can be above average as a gunner in the NFL.

I'm not really sure how this is going to work for Dallas, who needs to re-work deals and cut a bunch of players to even get under the cap. Since we cant even do that until Thursday and Friday, seems like it's just going to be a mess for us. There is tons of money out there, and techincally we wont have any until possibly Friday to spend. A great deal of the FAs are obviously going to agree in priniciple as quickly as possible, and without us actually having any money right away, we may get screwed a bit here.

A lot of players are going to come to agreements with teams starting today even though they can't sign officially until Friday. I thought you could start cutting your own players today though to make cap room?

Skins also signed Willie Smith, OT, East Carolina (excited about him), Shaun Draughn, RB, UNC, and Ben Chappell, QB, Indiana

Hynoski is not officially a Giant. According to one of our beat writers he's still choosing between multiple teams.

Yeah I think so too. Heard him on the radio today. He doesn't want to be far from his home outside Nashville. Part of the reason he went to Baltimore in the first place, he requires somewhere that flys direct quickly to Nashville. That really limits the teams he's willing to play for. Throw in that he only wants to play for a contender, and now you have 2 or 3 teams. The Ravens know this and he'll re-sign.

I think you can announce cuts...but you cant cut anyone until Thursday. Even then, Dallas' money is cloudy, because you cant rework your player's contracts until Friday. And cuts alone wont get Dallas under, more than likely. It's just messy...what are they going to do? Make Free an offer without even having a concrete idea of how much they have to spend? And without the money being readily available? It just kind of sucks, because Free is going to be getting tons of lucrative offers between now and then. Among other Cowboys and outside FAs. I expect Free back, but this is just an odd situation.

The schedule is certainly weird. I expect a lot of restructuring is going on also which we won't hear much about.
