Is Lichtensteiger projected as the starter now? I know Shanny drafted him in Denver and he probably fits the zone scheme they run better.

Great signing by the Bears to get Adam Podlesh. made no sense for the Jags to let him go.

Yup. He played well towards the end of last year and I think the expectation was he would start even with Rabach on the roster.

Ugh. I would have loved the Giants to get him.

Question: What is the penalty teams recieve for not hitting the cap floor? Just curious because as it looks, there is no way the Bucs are going to reach that.

steelers to cut starks?
hes been making obscene money for like 5 years now, hopefully they cut him and bring him back way cheaper due to his back and neck problems...i wouldnt feel comfortable at all with jonathan scott and marcus gilbert battling that out for LT....and reports suggest they are making colon a priority, i hope they dont think he or flo can play on the left side.
shoulda just got gaither

I'm surprised at how long Jason Babin was signed for, considering Philadelphia has Brandon Graham on roster. Wonder how serious the microfracture surgery was.

I think microfracture is always pretty serious. My question is, did they get Graham in for a physical and not like what they saw? Either way, this is a nice problem for the Eagles. Graham may very well rebound and become the player the eagles expect him to be, and/or Babin could post another 11.5 sacks. Either way, this team is absolutely loaded at DE.

What's going on with Edwards? I really didn't want the Jags to go after him but I haven't heard a peep about any team being linked to him since the lockout ended.

Jenkins seems likely headed to Washington, and now the Vikes may be close to signing James Jones

M Mike Tannenbaum's creativity on display. #Jets Santonio Holmes will only count $2.45M against 2011 cap. $1M base salary, per source. #nyj

Wizard.
Also, James Jones close to Vikings...

Also, @DarynColledge73 has indeed agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals, according to an @NFL source.

Pretty surprised that New England cut Marcus Stroud - apparently it was due to a shoulder injury that had not been healing.

Haunesworth to NE. I don't know how it would work seeing how NE runs the 34.

They can reach it throughout the entire season. My guess is that if they don't sign a couple of free agents now they'll do A LOT of cutting/adding during the season and give raises/new deals to deserving players getting paid peanuts (Blount, LMW, etc.) during the actual year.

Probably as a 3-4 hybrid like Wilfork plays, switching around. He'll be a good player to have in a pass-rushing situation, but I could also see him moving around NT and DE during regular downs.
