Where is Dan Wilkinson?
The trade was voided between the Dolphins and the Broncos because Wilkinson never showed up for a physical. Any theories for why he didn't show up? I think he's just going to retire. Another number one pick that never reached expectations.

Old news. He's either trying to get out of offseason conditioning or is planning on retiring.

The trade was just voided, that's not old news. If he's at offseason conditioning, why didn't he go to the Broncos? I think he would get a chance to play in Denver.

There was a story about it a few weeks ago saying the trade would be voided, as nobody knew where the hell Wilkinson was. People still don't know where the hell he is. So the trade was voided.

Well, the trade wasn't voided until today: hence, it is news.
Since 1987, #1 picks are as follows:
Vinny Testaverde, QB
Aundray Bruce, LB
Troy Aikman, QB
Jeff George, QB
Russell Maryland, DT*
Steve Emtman, DT
Drew Bledsoe, QB
Dan Wilkinson, DT
Ki-Jana Carter, RB
Keyshawn Johnson, WR
Orlando Pace, T
Peyton Manning, QB
Tim Couch, QB
Courtney Brown, DE
Michael Vick, QB
David Carr, QB
Carson Palmer, QB
Eli Manning, QB
Alex Smith, QB
Mario Williams, DE
* made one Pro Bowl
The bolded never/have never made a Pro Bowl.
So, over the last 20 drafts, the percentage of 1st overall picks to make a Pro Bowl is anywhere from 45% to 65%**. Ouch.
** this percentage assuming David Carr, Eli Manning, Alex Smith, and Mario Williams eventually make a Pro Bowl. Sorry Courtney.

He disappeared into a different universe, ala Ozzie Smith.

The guy is over 30, and, for all we know, could have been planning retirement all along. Guess that makes him a quitter, though.

After the way he manhandled college offensive linemen, I thought he would be super for the Bengals but he was a lazy fat boy. I was glad to see him leave but he did becvome adequate as he got older but still a dud of a #1 pick

I know, but has the guy ever started for a winning team? He has the chance to make something of his career, instead he calls it a career so he can sit on his ass a little bit more.

What's the point? It's not like he's going to be in the Hall of Fame or anything. One season, way past his prime wouldn't erase all the other seasons he had. He's been in the league 10+ years, and 300 lbs.. what do you expect.

You act like he's a robot. Not everyone can just walk away from the game that easily.
