Well depends on how you determine what your ramifications for a top 5 are. If it's commercially then it's always gonna be jay, kanye, wayne, eminem then insert whoever is popular at 5 (Ross/Drake). Rapping wise I'm not a fan of new Eminem, Wayne is garbage, Kanye is still Kanye but not like his 1st few albums & Jay-Z is on his last leg.

I could go on, but all of these guys are head and shoulders better MCs than Kanye.

Kanye puts out great music, he's an excellent producer and you'd have a better argument if you wanted to say he was the GOAT as a producer. But as a rapper, he's average at best.
