Probably the worst half of football I've witnessed in a long time. So sick of this horseshit talk of explosive plays and we don't have a single play of 20 yards or more in the first half.
Abe look like the only player (shocking) that came to play, such an embarrassing half, score should be way worse than it is.
Van Gorder should have been fired 2 seasons ago, hes still the same ******* ***** hes always been, rush 3 ppl and yet every ball Cutler throws the reciever doesnt have a person within 5 yards. Pathetic.

Don't want you talking to yourself, Falcons have to dedicate to the run in the 2nd and start giving Matt Ryan medium and long route for Julio and White on the PA. It will be the way you carve up the bears.

This is absolutely brutal. Here is some food for thought:
2010: Dunta Robinson: 6 years, 57 million, 25.5 guaranteed.
2011: Nnamdi Asomugha: 5 years, 60 million, 25 guaranteed.
Really, TD?

Although the Saints lost they def looked good, and had it to the wire with the super bowl champs on their home field.

I was really just more shocked than anything. Next week when we lose, I'll be back at full force. I still think we are a playoff team, but this was awful to say the least. I'd play Mike Johnson at RG next week, and we have to pray McClure can be back. Obviously Baker was going to get destroyed by Julius, but those two just got raped all day. Also, Hayden needs to be the NB next week, and there needs to be a very short leash on DeCoud. Not catching ONE of those two picks was absolutely ******* back breaking.
Simply a pathetic day. Not much else to say really. And while I agree, BVG is awful, how can an NFL team be such poor tacklers? BVG can't control that.

The thing that really pisses me off is all the bs they feed fans about this new explosive team.
Other than the Turner run(poor execution by bears, the Julio garbage time catch, and the grab by Tony) I didnt see a single play call that was to take a shot downfield. Not once. Yes the O-line was horrid and that plays a factor but I mean come on, we did the same stupid vanilla **** we always do, I can't even remember a time where we blitzed other than Owens attempting to run into someone, considering hed be worthless in coverage anyway.
Would just really like to start seeing some more aggressiveness from both sides of the ball.

Turner actually played very well, I'm surprised they didn't run the ball more. He only had 10 carries. That big run really showed how much he lost his breakaway speed he had in 2009. That should have been a TD.

Watch the game again, and watch Ryan's eyes. The calls were there. Roddy/Julio/HD must not have been doing their parts. And of course, as you said, a ****** OL performance doesn't help either.

I was so upset we didn't pick Dez..but the whole character issues aspect makes sense. He doesn't fit the mold of players we have on our team.
It's easy to over react from how terrible we were in this game, but I think 2 of the biggest things to look forward from this game is the play of the interior OL and Mularkey's calls.
1. The tandem play of Blalock-McClure-Dahl was clearly taken for granted when we took the field on Sunday. Without the McClure and Dahl, the interior of the line was lost - combine that with Peppers abusing Baker like a Anthony and her baby, and there was no way our offense was ever going to get in tact. I don't know how long McClure will take to heal, but we need him back there to piece together the line. And Reynolds is going to have to do a lot of learning on the fly. This problem has the potential to be the crux of the season in my opinion. If we want more explosive plays, we need more time in the pocket and that has to start up front.
2. Maybe it's the way the Bears' roll on defense, but none of our guys were able to dupe the secondary at all. I don't think it is a case of the WRs not selling their routes, but I think it is because Mularkey lacks the creativity of a McDaniels, Payton, Martz ,or Garrett. Obviously those are the top minds out there, but why are we not running confusing routes out there? It seems like everyone's play is always: you beat him here with a curl, a slant here, an out there. Never is it: You run this drag to take the coverage off JJ so he can run free or something. I am not at the games so I can't see all this for sure, but that is the feeling I get from this offense.
2B. Writing out 2 made me think that BVG can be a problem too. Once again, the top minds on defense include creative blitzers who can disguise coverage and bring the pressure based on predicting how an offense picks up blocking. Where is that chaotic element in our defense? The success of the Jets, Packers, Steelers all have to do with their ability to creatively blitz and it works! The Bears showed us why rushing 4 can work, but the top teams have great OL and quick release QBs - they have to think and work for their completions.

seriously? he made the play. any DC will tell you that an INT is a bonus to a tip. He might just practice with a Juggs Machine next time to make sure he catches them, but big thing is that he is in position to get them...

Hes a professional, and both of those balls were right in front of him, he didnt have to dive, jump, nobody near him, there is no excuse for not catching the ball.
And it wasnt him who was there it was Grimes making the good plays and we wasted to opportunities to get a takeaway.

That's not exactly true. DC's want playmakers. They work a lot on those tip drills so the DBs can come up with those. What's the use of tipping a ball well on the next down you give up a huge play.
