In my $40 + $1 per acquisition, 10 team non-PPR league I was up by 53 with Brandon Marshall and Gostkowski versus Brady, Welker, and BJGE...I think you can see how this is going...I lost by 2.
FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! Just had to vent a little, even though it hasn't made me feel any better.

Trade proposed, what do people think of it?
I give:
QB Sam Bradford
QB Rex Grossman
WR Stevie Johnson
I get:
Joe Flacco
Miles Austin
Keep in mind, starting QBs are absolute gold in this league. But that would still leave me with Stafford/Flacco/McCoy at QB, and I'd upgrade to Desean Jackson, Miles Austin and Kenny Britt at WR, which would be absolutely unstoppable. I am high on Stevie Johnson, but he's a much bigger risk then Miles Austin at this point.

Look at the bright side. 1 - it's week one. 2 - it's 40$.
I'm in a $50 keeper league where my keepers were Little Mike Williams, Mike Thomas, and Marshawn Lynch. And I took Peyton Manning. So it's basically like a donation every year. And my $200 team is 0-1 because Ingram, DeAngelo, Fitz, and Jared Cook combined for less than 20 points. Joy.

scored 2nd highest in my league and lost by less than a point on janikowskis record FG. couple things that pissed me off. first, the should have been sack by joey porter on cam newton. he clearly had him wrapped up but the damn refs did not reward the sack and instead allowed cam to throw a pass. i had the cards defense and 2 points for that sack would have won it for me. second, the sack/ff on romo on the 1 yard line. how the hell is that a sack? he is clearly a runner at that point and fumbles at or over the line of scrimmage. my opponent had jets defense and those 2 points would have won it for me.

I also ended up scoring the second most points in the league this week and lost in that same league, which in one way makes me feel a bit better, but also makes the situation worse.

i wouldnt. I dont think Stevie Johnson is a whole lot worse than austin and keeping 2 QBs over 1 is always better. he might be trying to lure you cause you are a ravens fan

sort of an insignificant deal, but i offered a mjd owner deji karim for jacoby ford. i think ford is going to really explode somewhere down the line and even if jones-drew goes down, i don't think karim will be a very spectacular fill in

This improves my RBs a lot IMO. It's one point PPR. I'm thinking on doing it.
|
I'd do it. It's rough, as I'm high on Jennings as a guy with a chip on his shoulder this year. Fickle Shanny makes it even rougher, but there's no question this is a good trade for you. Of course, I also believe in Timmay!

It's a good trade. Flacco seems to be throwing more each year so he & Bradford could be a wash going forward with keeper value.

Fitz will be fine w/Kolb. I like him to jump back into the top 10 @ WR this year.
With that said, do the deal. McCoy's value is too good to pass up when you can start 3 RBs. It's also great insurance for Best.

I'm in a PPR league and need to upgrade my WRs. We start 2 RB's and 3WRs
rb1 - Ray Rice
rb2 - frank gore
rb3 - felix jones
wr- nicks
wr2- malcolm floyd
wr3- h. ward
wr4- AJ Green
I'm going to try and move Gore and a WR to upgrade at WR. Who would be a good upgrade to target?

Gah I really don't know whether to pull the trigger on this trade. I love me some Stevie Johnson, but is he really a better option every week then Miles Austin? Not to mention Flacco will probably be superior then Bradford this season, even though I really like Bradford's long term value. I would have Flacco though, but I do have the sneaking suspicion I'm being baited by Flacco's strong opener and the fact that I'm a Ravens fan.

if your going to include gore you better be targeting a stud. fitz might be a good buy low. id consider moving felix instead for someone like boldin, brandon lloyd, or kenny britt. vjax could be a good buy low too. try and dangle felix jones for him. also try to get lance moore cheap and thank me in a few weeks time.

so this guy counters with
freeman
ingram
karim
for
gore
ford
locker
i'm going to see if i can get a better qb out of this than locker. he has mark sanchez, but that might be asking for a bit much.
scoring is ppr, bonuses for big plays. i think i have a good opportunity to buy low on gore with this guy. plus his handcuff is free on waivers.

Vincent Jackson and Percy Harvin are coming off tough weeks. Manningham. If you believe in Bowe now's the time. Burleson. Santonio.

DO IT now. Forget about getting a better QB. The Seahawks have an underrated run defense with all their DL back.

I HATE Austin this year but I agree with your assessment of Flacco. He went off against his toughest matchup this week. And he plays the AFC South and NFC West. Some very bad defenses...

Are you aware of Amendola's injury?
Henderson would be a good pickup, for sure.

If you have a TE playing the Chiefs at any point this season they are a must start.

lol yes I am, only reason I'm considering this, Henderson will maybe be start worthy once or twice in the time it takes Amendola to heal. Odds are I wont be able to pick him up once he is healthy

No IR spots in this league? That sucks.
Well you still have Bess though, right? Henderson should be a real solid play for the next 3-4 weeks, at least, imo.
