Good god, finally able to get to the board. Not sorting through the messages, but here is a brief reaction to the OSU team I saw on Saturday.
1) Coach Fickell is in over his head. Getting your first HC experience ever at a high pressure, high exposure program, one with a ton of turmoil and suspensions of their best players, is a recipe for disaster. I feel bad fo the guy, but dem's da breaks. He needs to go or find a clue within a few weeks. So he will likely be going.
2) Bauserman may be the worst FBS level QB that I've ever seen. There are few words to describe what that was. What is truly frightening is that OSU coaches felt that he gave them the best chance to win. Either the other QBs are functionally ******** or the coaches are. Likely the coaches.
3) The OSU D played well after the first few series. Not bad considering their LBs are marginal.
Good game by Miami, I liked their gameplan. Golden is a good one, and I think it stinks that he got screwed by the university. Regardless, their D played hard, and Jacory was only allowed to make a few rotten mistakes. His WRs played stellar and bailed him out several times. Miami's D was stout, disregarding the terribleness of Bauserman. Still trying to figure out how they lost to Maryland. Guessing the suspended players were big coming back.
