In a discussion like this, you literally cannot take team success out of the equation. Not even hypothetically, which SWDC loves to use, can I make a case for Miller over even Tyrann Mathieu.

if mathieu makes a statement in the bama game, he becomes my front runner. right now he'd take a trip to new york with luck, moore, and richardson, imo. rg3 is now on the outside looking in.

Some of these lists are confusing, at best.
1) Russell Wilson, QB, Wisconsin
2) Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
3) Robert Griffin, QB, Baylor
4) Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
And, for right now anyway, that's pretty much it.

Moore threw 6 picks last year. He's already thrown 4 this year.

For Mathieu to win, no one can finish undefeated.

I bet hes got more td's at this point as well.
Not to mention, with Moore...he could very well go the rest of the season throwing 2 picks or less.

Er...no. He had 35 touchdowns this year, he has 17 so far. He would need 18 touchdowns and only 2 picks, as well as average about 12 yards per pass attempt, just to have as good of a season as he had last year, when he still had almost no shot at winning the Heisman.

It's going to be a better possibility if Moore has Boise State in legitimate contention (ranked #1 or #2) very late in the year.

So sad that ArmPunt isn't on the list anymore. He does so well against crappy teams.

The real meat of Stanford's schedule is coming up and should really vault Luck up if he wins those games.

Exactly. Honestly, I have all the confidence in the world that he'll do just that. But, up until this point there have been more impressive individuals as far as stats and 'plays' go. Luck is easily the best player in college football, though.

There shouldn't be considering Stanford hasn't even played a winning team yet.
RGIII should be #1 out of the candidates so far but won't be because of his team. RGIII has been better against higher competition so far out of the quarterbacks, imo.

It's the nature of the beast. It's going to be very interesting where Griffin ends up on the ballots.

Yeah, it's a shame too. Some players who may be deserving won't win because of their position, what a joke.
Not to say any of these guys don't deserve it. I don't doubt that Luck will prove he should be #1 of the Heisman contenders at the end of year.

Yes. I hate UM. He's a poor man's Percy Harvin that has no business playing QB full time.
I like your lists, however :)

Over who? The top 6 is pretty solidified, and Landry Jones is doing enough to stick around although a case could be made that Broyles is more deserving.

Tajh Boyd 5TDs with 5 different WRs and still undefeated. What are the odds we see both he and Watkins in New York in December?

I'd say unlikely.
