My 12-year old sister came to visit me for a week around the time of the season 2 premiere, and she happened upon the pilot episode of The Walking Dead on my DVR while I was at work. I told her going any further is a bad idea, but she was adamant that she is old enough to decide for herself...6 episodes later she is now sleeping with the lights on and begging my parents to let her stay in their room. Traveling anywhere in the dark is out of the question. Poor girl.

Finally got around to watch first two shows from season 2 and I have to agree with everything posted here, it's terrible this season. I had to fast forward through to finish the second episode. What a disappointment. Just absurd plot holes/scenarios throughout. Only thing that could keep me watching this show is if they all got eaten and started over with the two rednecks, Daryl and his long lost brother.

I don't think it's been terrible; I'm actually really enjoying season 2. The fact that not a single human has been killed-eaten-torn apart yet has me thinking they are trying to lull the audience into relaxation before letting loose here pretty soon. And instead of an entire show built around people surviving zombies, it's become as much a show about people surviving each other while the zombies tear the world apart. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I can easily set aside a couple of plot holes -- like why are the dead bodies in the cars not walkers -- and just enjoy a show that's really unlike anything else on television right now.

These first two episodes have been really plot heavy. I think they were trying to build towards the group tearing apart at the seams. That's been the general theme of this season so far.

Agree with the general sentiment here: rotten characters that I hate (excepting a few), exceptionally dumb characters that wouldn't survive two days of an outbreak, terrible dialog, and worst of all super boring idiotic plots.

It's a freaking zombie apocalypse, there are so many interesting ways to go with that. Big budget or very low budget (thinking they are a low-middle budget show) it doesn't matter there are good choices for any amount of money.

Yet they choose to do absolutely NOTHING with it. And make the characters as stupid as possible. Worst writers, directors, and producers ever.

Im giving it a few more episodes to at least pick up the action.
