I unlocked it and went through a phase using it, but I switched back to the bipod. I'd rather have the increased accuracy to be honest.

9.0 for this scale of a game is a failure. Oblivion dominated with a 9.6. Getting a 9.0 seems like a kick in the balls.

guessing for cost reasons it'll stay on the disc with the patch to be downloaded. it's fairly disgusting that this crap has spilled over onto consoles (buggy releases that 'rely' on future patches).
i'm curious how frequently 'frequently' is...

Bethesda is notorious for releasing buggy games. Luckily, they make fantastic games...when they work right. I dont think I'll complain too much if I get crushed by a mammoth that magically falls out of the sky or when a Dragon launches me into the stratosphere upon my death. That might just be fun.
Some reason the NCAA series seems to always have some substanstial bugs upon release as well.

I bought Skyrim this morning because I got random money a few days ago. It's pretty good so far, but I've only been playing for around an hour. Early impressions; the combat is a lot more fun. Just feels a lot better hitting things than it did in any other Elder Scrolls game. The graphics and the character models are much better this time around too. Animations are much more organic feeling too. The game is actually playable in third person mode if you prefer it.
Far less generic setting wise than Oblivion was too.

I've yet to see it live, but from the gameplay videos...the 3rd person perspective looks like it's really well done. I wouldnt be caught dead playing Oblivion or Fallout in 3rd person mode.

How are the landscapes? I thought oblivion was good. How does the snow and nature stuff look? Some of the best time pass things were to run around and explore while collecting stuff for potion making.
Is the magic stuff good? I normally play as a mage, and use the force to defeat all!

The landscapes are great. Everything looks really, really good there. Right at the start, they dump you right in the middle of some mountains and you need to find your way down. First thing I tried was going off the beaten path and jumping down rocks. Worked pretty well. Haven't gotten any spells and such yet, but the melee works pretty well. Stabbing a bear through the face with a greatsword was pretty satisfying.

24 people are online at once off of my Xbox Live friends list. That's the most I've ever seen on at the same time. I'd say a good 18 of them are playing Skyrim. Pretty crazy.
Just like when Batman: AC came out...I'm pretty jealous, actually. ha. And I'm not even a huge Elder Scrolls fan.

Sweet! You have to post some cool tidbits as you play. I just found out you can be something other than vampire. Something supernatural! If you find out, and become this.. supernatural entity, then post some reviews. I can't wait to be it!
How are the interactions with NPCs? Any different than Oblivion?

I was pissed when I got turned into a Vampire in Oblivion. It was an annoying process to return to normal. Just kept feeding on homeless people and tried to avoid the sun, which actually proved pretty difficult and tedious at times.

Bethesda has always been bad about releasing buggy games. It's really to be expected for them to have a buggy launch. So for them, quite frequently.

Interactions are pretty good. Feel far more animated than in Oblivion. I'm having the most fun with blacksmithing. There's a little animation that plays while you're at a work bench. It's a small touch, but there's tons of them like that so far that really make it that much better.

Anybody play fifa12 here? I'm havig trouble with my tactics, because for some reason it's changing them in game without me pushing any of those buttons. I was wondering if there's a place where you can turn that to manual or something.

You can check out my thoughts on Skyrim further in it's thread, but the game is phenomenal.

That's why I only touch their games on PC where the mod community can fix the really bad stuff quickly. Bethesda has always relied way too heavily on their mod community to fix their ****. Unfortunately, it doesn't help them on consoles.

Kinda in love with the support class now, unlimited ammo and everything comes with a bipod, along with the C4. Love the fact that all the classes actually play differently. So much variation from game to game unlike COD where it's most just camp or run(not that those aren't enjoyable)

Ok so finally got extensive time with MW3 and I must say, that Battlefield 3 is so much better for multi-player and it's not even close for me. Though I will say, the co-op special ops missions are fun as ****.

One thing I love doing is destroying building. Either with the tube, or c4, I try and level **** all the time. The best is one you level a building with people inside or on top and you get 3 kills.
BF3 has gotten better since a lot of people have hopped off and went to COD. Lot more skilled guys left, and not running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

My VGA box came for my Dreamcast. Hooked up my Dreamcast to my HD TV...it looks beautiful, no hitches at all. Only problem is, I have no audio. I need to buy a standard 3.5mm audio cable tomorrow, so I can use the TV's speakers. Then I can play Shenmue again. haha.
Other than that, I think I'm going to do the Toys R Us deal on Tuesday, perhaps. Buy 2 $60 games, get a $40 gift card.
Skyrim and AC: Revelations...and then I'll have to decide on the 3rd game. Probably either SotC/Ico Collection or NBA 2K12. I'd still have to pay $20 on the latter. I think I'll hold off on Batman: AC until Black Friday because it's supposed to be more than half off at several places. Not too sure if anyone will be discounting NBA 2K12, my best bet there may be Amazon.
