Just hope we take the game seriously. Will love seeing Newton play.

We really have no counter for Steve Smith's speed. Cam will be hard to tackle, likewise for the running backs. We need to make sure Stafford has his **** together and is accurate. Put some points up, get pressure, and make Cam force stuff into coverage.

I feel ok about this game since its at home. But if Stafford goes out there throwing all around the place like in Chicago then Schwartz needs to have the balls to put Shaun Hill in.

Must win game. Carolina is competitive and will give Lions a game though. Lions need to run the ball well for once on Carolinas D and take some pressure on Stafford and his finger. Stafford must be accurate with the gloves and obviously avoid turnovers. Turnovers will keep Carolina hanging around.
Johnson and Gamble are the only defenders need to worry about. Calvin and Gamble should be a good matchup.

Just thought I'd post this to cheer up my fellow fans:
Opp W/L %
1 Indianapolis 0-10 .541
2 Carolina 2-7 .514
3 Miami 2-7 .524
4 St. Louis 2-7 .568
5 Minnesota 2-7 .572
6 Washington 3-6 .458
7 Arizona 3-6 .476
8 Jacksonville 3-6 .487
9 Philadelphia 3-6 .507
10 Cleveland 3-6 .514
11 Seattle 3-6 .524
12 Kansas City 4-5 .507
13 San Diego 4-5 .528
14 Tampa Bay 4-5 .534
15 Denver 4-5 .542
16 Tennessee 5-4 .460
17 Dallas 5-4 .472
18 Cleveland (from Atlanta) 5-4 .473
19 NY Jets 5-4 .479
20 Buffalo 5-4 .493
21P Cincinnati (from Oakland) 5-4 .517
22P New England 6-3 .445
23P Cincinnati 6-3 .486
24P Baltimore 6-3 .486
25P NY Giants 6-3 .497
26P Chicago 6-3 .517
27P Detroit 6-3 .566
28P New England (from New Orleans) 7-3 .466
29P Pittsburgh 7-3 .486
30P San Francisco 8-1 .448
31P Houston 7-3 .426
32P Green Bay 9-0 .490
P is for making the playoffs.
Carolina looks to be in an excellent position to trade back but still remain in the top 6 since they don't need a QB. Could pick up a lot of picks from Miami or Washington.
Interesting that Detroit had the third hardest schedule so far behind just St. Louis and Minny, and NE had the second easiest schedule behind Houston and a ridiculously easy schedule the rest of the way.
For anybody who doesn't think a team's schedule is important, please notice how weak a schedule most of the teams that currently make the playoffs, have.

but if we start losing now, we can still sneak into left tackle territory for the draft...j/k. I'm so glad that we don't have to debate that anymore. Partially because the Colts, Skins, and Cards are so good at tanking that it would be impossible to compete against.

Scared me for a while. at least Stafford found his rhythm in the 2nd half. The oline also looked way better. Peterson actually looked really good. What the heck was Kevin Smith doing during his time off? He was outstanding. Showcased the excellent vision that he had in college.

Just goes to show how great Stafford could be with a real effective running attack. Look out now!

Kev must have come back as a cyborg or something. He's had his moments in the past (pre-injury), but damn he was balling out. If he can give us a solid running game week in-week out, then we'll be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

Very glad to see Stafford bounce back and get on fire after a bad 5 quarters of football. I think that shows alot about him as a QB. Aslo if u r scoring at home he has 2800 yards, 25 TD, 8 int. What are the lions single season record?

200 yard day for Kevin Smith and 3 tds!!!! He looks like a man possessed and had a better day than Forte did against the Panthers. When it's your last chance and no other team is calling, it's a great story what Kevin did.
Keep it up for Thanksgiving would be awesome. Run game and controlling the clock would be very nice against the Packers.
