the way i figure it we would finally have an offensive mind that can give us an offense that can be as good as our defense has been. braxton miller in that offense would be very sexy.

Strong rumor on twitter right now that Urban Meyer and Ohio State have come to an agreement to make him the head coach. The announcement is rumored to be after the Michigan game

Braxton would be an amazing fit in Meyer's offense. Dare I say it that he might be scarier than Touchdown Jesus?

The capability of throwing a decent forward pass more than 20 yards does give him some possibilities. Tebow is a hell of a fit bawl player however.

I love our D, nothing to change there, we are young, and I think that if we had the talent Urban Meyer could bring in it would be even better.
I'm still worried about the offensive system he would bring but I don't think it would be horrible. I think the initial fear was fear of changing from a prostyle which I love so much.

I laughed at this
The guy is a freshman and already looks more competent throwing the ball than Pryor ever did. He has the running skills and will develop as a passer.

If reports from a guy as reliable as Scout.com's Bill Greene are to be believed (and subsequently confirmed by the plugged in blogger at the ever reliable OSU blog 11 Warriors), Urban Meyer will be announced as the next coach at Ohio State sometime next week. If you don't want to believe non-traditional media, how about WKMG channel 6 TV in Orlando?
|
Aparently Adolphus Washington (5 star DE recruit) was so sure of the future at OSU that he decided to commit yesterday as well

According to WKMG's sources, Meyer has agreed to a seven-year, $40 million deal.
|
With all of these sources saying its a done deal and terms of a supposed contract being released, I'd say this is all but announced

At least it's a real name that has a meaning. Unlike, say, Barkevious.

Well I hope Meyer does well. But I'm sure his Spread with put up some big numbers with OSU . I just thought Meyer was done with football cause of Health / family reason . That was his case and Florida but clearly not.

So he's going to officially announce this at the Ohio State/Duke game on Tuesday?

I've seen reports of anywhere from a local news special airing tonight, to after "the game" to after the basketball game tuesday

Eh, no biggie. Meyer is a great coach, but so was JT. If Meyer backs out, some other very good-great coach will show up. It's an elite jarb.
I would be shocked if Meyer repeated his UF success at OSU, but that would be flipping awesome.

What makes you think he wouldnt? He has been very successful wherever he has been. Great recruiter, great offensive mind, has a QB in place to be great in his system, and in a weak conference. Pretty solid set up.
