In my defense, I never wanted to bring NASCAR into this. I intended just to see arguments for those which are actually plausible.

It comes down to your definition of physical exertion. I consider both NASCAR and Poker sports. They don't require as much physical exertion, but they both require physical conditioning and a lot of skill. Just like Golf.
Thinking about it, Poker really doesn't fit with what I was saying. It requires mental conditioning rather than physical conditioning.

Just because your fraternity called it a sport when you and your pledge brothers had to play naked twister doesn't really make it a sport but congrats on the trophy!

So by my definition, bowling is a sport. A stupid sport that no one likes to watch, but definitely a sport.

This is my definition, but I also add the clause that if it's in the Olympics, it's grandfathered in. Yes, it throws in a lot of judged sports, but I think it's fair.

She told me she was on the pill. I guess she lied to both of us.

I think it's weird to consider speed walking and synchronized swimming a sport but that's just me.

Why is weird to consider something what it is?
Is it weird to consider a duck an animal? Is it weird to consider blue a colour?
I just don't get what makes it weird to consider something what it is? What is weird is people who feel a need to change the English language or redefine words because they feel like it, that is weird. I guess some people just want to watch the world burn...

It's weird because you don't usually think of a sport as an art form. When I think sport I think football, baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, etc. That's all I'm saying.
