The combat can get more complex if you start throwing in the gadgets in the middle of combos and such. Also being on hard really makes things intense as you never can see when someone is going to attack you or not. I much prefer the combat in the Arkham games as opposed to AC or something.

So I finished AC:Revelations. Good game but buy it used or deeply discounted. Better than Brotherhood just not as good as AC:2. Sometimes it was to easy with all the assist type of things they gave you. I tried to make it a little more difficult for myself from time to time.
Now back to BF:3. And once school lets out Skyrim.

Obsidian is creating a full-scale South Park RPG due out in 2012. The game will be overseen by South Park creators Trey Parker & Matt Stone, who will write the script and provide voice acting for the characters.
This could be pretty awsome.
Also...Square Enix will venture into the Western RPG game. They're creating an action RPG using the Unreal 3 engine. This should be interesting...hopefully they'll recruit some dudes from the former, Cavia, those behind Nier.
Granted they didnt create either, rather publish. But they had two great Western style RPGs in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Nier. So I am going to follow this rather closely for a while, at least.
Here is the first concept art they released for the project...

I beat Arkham City today. Amazing game. There are still a bunch of sides/riddles/challenges to be done. But I think I'll push them off to some other time. I'll probably stupidly go for 100% on the game, eventually. That would be pretty time consuming, but it will probably happen.
But as of right now, I'll be starting something else up. Not too sure what that will be at all, at the moment.

Just wrapped up Arkham City. The ending was pretty sweet, but I felt like it cut to the credits pretty quickly. It will be interesting to see if they do a sequel.
..and yeah, that concept art for the new Square game looks interesting. Looks a little bit in the vein of Vampire Hunter D and Castlevania, which I am way more than OK with having more stuff like.

I decided to move on to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It's a beautiful game, but it's bound to get boring after a while. Tis a God of War clone, and there seems to be way too many chapters. I heard it's like 15 hours, which is just too long for this type of gameplay, imo. It's certainly pretty, though.

I like the length, art direction, and gameplay in that one. They even throw in some puzzles to keep it fresh...but the writing and story could have been a LOT better if they put some more effort into it. The actual plot is pretty good, but the way in which it's delivered leaves a lot to be desired, with large gaps in the story and some pretty cheesy dialogue when it finally shows up. Really underrated title though, I was actually thinking about going through it again at some point soon. Looking forward to the sequel that's supposedly coming.

I have the update. It's pretty cool and the interface has certainly come a long way since it's humble(yet effective) beginnings....although it's a lot to take in and get used to at first. The added video content they've put up so far is pretty underwhelming though, with the Verizon/Comcaso video on demand missing and delayed. Nothing really game changing in that category yet, although it's somewhat exciting to be able to use my Xbox as a sort of second cable box.

For me personally, these hack n slash games should come no where near that length. It just gets really dull, really fast, imo. They begin to feel like a chore before long.
Only a select few could pull it off, without it dragging on and becoming insanely tedious.

I love hack n slash games...DMC is everything you should have in those games. The length was pretty good...story was ok...not great but enjoyable...and the 1st and 3rd was just amazing gameplay...it really is hack n slash in every sense of the word..was great button smashing fun

I used to be a big fan...but after playing all these clones, the gameplay is starting to wear thin with me. I'll still never sour on God of War, though.

I beat RDR today and LA Noire a month ago. I dont see why most people like RDR more, I loved LA Noire a lot more. Both are incredible to look at and have the same gameplay mechanics (boring shooting mechanics and chases) but LA Noire has the crime scene investigation/interrogation that adds to the gameplay. RDR was a chore to finish especially once you get back home and start doing missions with your son. I just thought herding cattle was not that fun. The one thing RDR has going for it is John Marston is way more badass than Cole Phelps. Just got LA Noire complete edition for 30 off Amazon because i want all the DLC, its my second favorite game this year behind Arkham City.
I can also go on a rant about AC Revelations but ill just say that I was really disappointed in it because there were no revelations or modern day plot progression.

I liked RDR more out of the two but both games were a hell of a lot of fun to play. RDR might be my favorite game ever though. Any word on if/when they are making a sequel?

I would bet a lot of money that there is a sequel (threequel?) to Red Dead Redemption at some stage in the future. Remember, it is Rockstar so I doubt they are in a rush. Might be their next big project after GTA 5?

So I did the update, and it didn't take long at all. But now it's not letting me sign-in to xbox live. I've tried turning off my xbox and trying again and still nothing.
