I've heard a ton of good things about that game too and I'm kinda looking forward to it. I get the feeling I'll just go the Dragon Age route though and wait till it's 20 bucks and play it 18 months after it comes out.
Is the extra DLC for Red Dead Redemption worth it? I might be going to pick it up today. Trying to decide between the Game of the Year edition or going for the pre-owned 2 for 1 thing at Gamestop with the regular version.

By the time I finished RDR, I was done with the game completely, to be honest. It was fun as hell, but I had no interest in the DLC or playing any further. Goozex'd that game and turned it into a bunch of other older games that I needed to catch up on.
Assassins Creed Revelations is frustratingly dumb at times. I can't stand these terrible controls. I don't know how many times I've dived onto civilians or jumped off a wall instead of climbed it.

It looks like Fable's cousin, visually...I'm going to get it, but I dont love the artistic direction. Very cartoony.
Was talking to a buddy about it and he said the same thing...real cartoony. Not reallu a bad thing imo...it has a lot of color and stuff. I like that, sometimes games i.e. Halo Reach, are kind of boring in their building structures and designs.

It's largely based off of World of Warcraft. It's a WoW/ES mash up. Curt Schilling is really into both and originally wanted to make an MMO. I'm guessing this game is kind of a testing of the waters before he puts money into an MMO.
KoA could be great or it could be terrible (middle ground also possible). I'll wait for reviews and real feedback before I decide whether to get it or not.
It's more than that, though. It's a mashup of tons of games, including that God of War style of combat. The guys at 1Up, have said it's good, but with so many borrowed gameplay elements, it's not the smoothest of experiences at times.
Yea in the interview he said that they really took a lot of inspiration from a lot of other games. So its all these RPGs put in a blender. The end result can be real good or a disaster. I'm thinking it will be pretty good but I will also hold off and wait a bit with this one.

Eh, having seen it make the rounds with journalists(I'v seen like 4 different 20 minute things now haha), I'm not real concerned about anything. We've had really good action RPG's before, wouldn't be shocked to see one it right in a Skyrim sized world. I'm surprised someone hasn't tried one earlier, to be honest. We'll have to see when it comes out, but nothing I've seen so far has me super concerned about it, besides the combat looking easy and the lack of a true class system. The latter could be a positive if they pull it off right, though. So long as they reward you for playing the way you like enough. Hopefully there's specialization too. Never liked that entire Fable "you're amazing at everything" approach.
I'm kind of excited about being able to mix it up with the classes. I've always been bugged by the idea that I have to pick one and stick to it, have some friends on Skyrim who get bored of their characters and have to make a new one. But if you can really mold your character to your liking it should make it much better.
That rogue class really looks intriguing but looks like it might make the game a bit easier, but didn't they mention something about it being on easy? So that means you can probably up the difficulty some and make it a bit more challenging which would be a good thing imo.

Some game just take the ole obvious approach. You see a **** ton of health or ammo...prepare yourself, fool.
Nothing is worse, though...then getting stuck in some tough ass boss battle, when you're strapped for health or ammo. Damn Resident Evil games have gotten me there before. Yay, I have a pistol with like 14 bullets and a bunch of useless crap. That's always fun.
VGAs are tonight...I have to work but I may watch a little just to see the new trailers. I dont care about the awards, hopefully we'll get some awesome game trailers, at least.

I'm totally watching. TV this hilariously bad comes but once a year. Ordered a few pizzas and everything haha. But yeah, I'm mainly watching for the news and trailers. Some pretty big stuff dropped last year. I'll be flicking back and forth between that and the Heisman Ceremony.
