Unibroue (which gives me a head ache for some reason) and Dieu Du Ciel are noticeably missing here.

But that list barely even comes close to Michigan without even going deep into their selection... Bells & Founders...BAM! Just those two beats the entire subcountry of Canada. And Michigan isn't even close to the best state for breweries.

I had this year's Stone Vertical Epic the other day. It was pretty "meh". Most beers have been for me lately, though. I might drink one of my bottles of Boulevard BBQ for Christmas.

And I have friends who have beer shipped all the time. They also travel for work and always load up on $200-300 worth of beer that they pack in a wine box or a bag full of socks and check. These people are good friends for what they do (and it's not illegal).

It's not illegal to ship a small quantity of beer, it's illegal for a distributor to distribute beer in an area they aren't licensed. Pretty sure on this - correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah, i bought three ish bottles of the 07, drank one immediately and was unimpressed. i'm curious if the bottle aging will change my opinion.

i believe this is true. though i'm generally carrying wine around, since i don't trust baggage handlers to not screw up my stuff.

Well I know in NJ it was illegal for us to ship wine in the mail to someone out of state. I used to work at a liquor store and we weren't allowed to do it but I don't think anyone would care if you were shipping a bottle of beer to someone.

Strongbow is meh. I have lots of friends who drink it, but I've never really warmed up to the taste myself.

Not a big cider guy myself. When I was in Ireland though, Magners was the cider of choice and I would have it every now and then. Girls loved it. I suppose it was okay as a change of pace, but I would only drink it when already tanked.

Also not a cider person but like Rob S just said Magners and Woodchuck seem to be the most popular.

Yeah, I can have a bit of cider but it's not really something I go for. Give McKenzie's a shot if it's in your area.

i see woodchuck everywhere around my parts. i'll keep an eye out for mckenzie's.

i wanna be a beer connoisseur but there's just so many different beers out there. idk where to start. sweetwater is the local brewery that most people in atlanta like but i really did not like it. with that said, i had yuengling as my first draft beer and it was delicious.

Been awhile since I've had either. But I remember Strongbow being a bit heavier than Woodchuck and them being in about the same class as far as taste goes.

I prefer Magners or Fox Barrel. Crispin is really good, too.

Broth's beer image dump

Lions made the playoffs I went to a new HBS but stumbled into a new found beer store. I got this. I wanted to wait till new years but couldn't wait

A slightly above average IPA but it was well worth the drink.

Widmer Bros Black IPA is very meh in comparison to Stone. I started brewing my own Black IPA I hope it is half as good as either of these.

Widmer is pretty average as a brewery.

It depends on what you compare it to I live in upstate NY unless I travel a half an hour I can't get any of Stone's better brews. so Widmer is about as good as I can get except for Victory.

Fair enough, I can usually get most the major Stone brews in my grocery store. Lots of bars have Widmer on tap here, but I am not a fan.

Depends on what you are use to drinking if you are looking for a suggestion. If you are use to drinking things like Coors, Miller, Bud, Etc. then go with the Victory Prima Pils. I personally like that one as well but if I were at this bar I'd likely go with the TERRAPIN HOPSECUTIONER. Although I as a rule tend to go with IPAs as a rule.

Looking over the bottle list I'd suggest Golden Monkey from Victory or Allegash Wit if you like a blue moon type either way it is sweeter type of beer.

I'm a sucker for Dogfish Head. Plus, it's the Ta Henket, which I've never had, so I would order that first, for sure.

Dogfish and Stone are my favorites and in NJ they have most of it available. Some of the smaller released Stone products I can't get my hands on though. That Stone Double IPA would have been delicious and I wish I could have got it here on the East Coast.
