I hope Florida can get a playoff taste and generate a winning atmosphere/some more fan support as all of their young talent starts to come through. I also hope Huberdeau is healthy in time for the tournament.

This season in Buffalo is just terribly unexciting. It's not fun to watch. People don't want to call out the coaching because of the injuries, but the whole ******* team is a mess. Roy/Stafford/Gaustad, three laughable assistant captains, are ******* terrible and they've been going all year, with just one respectable stretch from Roy between them. Getting guys like Gerbe, Hecht, and even Boyes back would be nice. But the majority of the core outside of Myers is healthy right now and they don't know what the **** they're doing.
I have no idea why they won't put Luke Adam back on the top line. Let's just play him less than every other forward, instead.

Nice, 4 Pittsburgh kids are going to be on the US World Jr team. I like that. Stephen Johns is also from the town I live in, so suck it!! I've met him a few times. He's a cool dude. Seems humble.

I've REALLY been impressed by Simon Despres in his time up. I think he's played well enough to stay on the roster and make Paul Martin, Niskanen, or Lovejoy expendable at the deadline.

Go USA, indeed. Bjugstad for player of the tournament :D
Canada dominated Finland. Sort of unsurprising, but it's a big performance against a team that played everybody tough last year and should avoid the demotion round. Glad that Granlund is actually playing this year, would have loved to see him last year.

Detroit vs St. Louis tomorrow, those are always fun. And now the Blues are actually relevant in the NHL so that should add some extra punch to it. It's to bad Oshie won't be playing though. Sad Face.

Well the Wild have lost 7 in a row and are now tied for fourth in the conference. Oh how things change in just two weeks...

They're probably not as good as they started out or as bad as they're playing right now. Hopefully we can sneak into the playoffs.

They need someone to step up now that Brodziak's insane hot streak is over and also, Setoguchi's injury is starting to really hurt.
ps: Wild prospect Charlie Coyle (traded here from San Jose in Burns deal, considered a top 30 prospect by most) had a hatty last night against Denmark in the WJC. I watched most of the game and he looked really, really good.

also, to the Shark fans, I see my boy Alex Stalock is back practicing with Worcester after that nasty gash he took last year, slicing his nerve in the process. I absolutely love this guy and have been banging his drum for at least three years. Really hope he can get another look in the NHL sometime soon.

Yeah, we just need to get healthy again. Hopefully we can get a win vs the Preds and start this turn around.

Read today that Setoguchi is skating on his own, probably 1-2 weeks away still. No timetable on Latendresse unfortunately.. don't see him coming back for quite some time. Guy just cannot stay healthy at all. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a 1 year deal this offseason.

I'm a huge Coyle fan. One of the guys I was most excited to have returning to the squad, this year. Little upset he's leaving NCAA, but it's not like I'm the biggest follower. Didn't like seeing him removed from the Sharks organization, but it's nice to see the Wild with some promising talents. Coyle, Brodin, and Granlund are all players I love to watch in this tourney.
I wish Nicklas Jensen had a few more players to work with. He's made some silky plays and makes his backcheck look effortless.

I haven't said this in a while, but James ******* Neal.
Also, Geno is playing at a Hart level. I hope he keeps this up all year.
