Dwayne Allen Comparison

Like others have said, probably Randy McMichael or Ben Watson physically. Just a physical athlete, strong, fast, really built and can make plays down field catching the football. But like both those Georgia tight ends, at times does not play up to his potential.


Just watching the playoffs, Allen's stock could rise. It is a copy cat league, and right now at least today the tight ends are flat out dominating both football games. It is crazy but the Saints, 49ers and Patriots completely depend on huge passing yardage from their great tight ends.


Dwayne Allen has that type of potential, might not be as strong as Vernon Davis or as fast, but has that big play ability. Has been a physical freak for a long time but outside of this year has never really played that well. Odd thing is same thing could be said for Davis's career at Maryland, did not play really great till his last season there.


But for sure in this years draft, Allen is the top guy and should be a 1st round pick, even if certain teams may or may not need a tight end in the late 1st round.
