QB's we need to look at for the draft.
Obviously we will be picking late in the 1st so we need to find a sleeper.
1) Ryan Tannehill- Raw prospect that is a converted WR. Very strong arm, good footspeed, shows good touch and accuracy. Decision making needs to improve.
2) Kirk Cousins- Limited athletically but makes up for it with excellent anticipation passing. Will probably be there in the 3rd because teams will not like his physical attributes. Somewhat similar to Andy Dalton, only Cousins has played in a real offense at Mich. St.
3) Nick Foles- Don't think this is a fit for Harbaugh as he seems to like athletic QB's. He's a big strong statue with a rifle. Pocket awareness is iffy, tends to hold on to it too long.
4)Brandon Weeden- Former minor league baseball player that is 28. Really hate the fact that he's 28. But, he does show a natural passing ability, albeit in a spread offense. Very good arm, excellent accuracy. Worth a look in the middle rounds.
5)Kellen Moore- Small guy with a poor arm who should be looked at late. There have been some QB's who have improved their arm strength at the NFL level, Brady and Brees being the biggest names off the top of my head who have done so. Plays in a spread in a weak conference so his statistics don't mean much, but he is pretty damn accurate. Ball Placement is uncanny.
The bottom line is we need to get an anticipation passer. I'm sick of seeing our passing game consist of designed reads. Time to throw our receivers open.

I don't think we will be looking at QB early in the draft only because Ck has not been giving any real playing time maybe this week against the Rams.. Plus I think if we do its late in the draft after we covered out needs at CB S and maybe o line or one more De. I do like Kellen Moore. But not sure if Jim likes small Qb's or not . With also loading up on Tolesizne (sp) We probably won't be looking at one this draft maybe next year if CK doesn't pan out.

I'm of the opinion that quarterback is the most important position in football. And if you need to draft one until you find one, you do it. If one pans out, you do what Andy Reid did and use the other one as trade bait.

If you want to take a chance on someone in the mid rounds you might as well take a guy that is athletic with a strong arm that has 4 years of experience playing at a high level with these stats,
72.5% 31 TDs 191.6 QR

We're not drafting another QB. We already have TWO rookies that Jimbaugh really likes. And both a totally different bring different intangibles to the table. We'll probably sign a "young" vet QB who has been in the league a couple of years. A Josh Johnson type. Alex will be re-signed. That will give us 4 QBs for off-season workouts/OTAs. Probably add a UDFA QB just for another arm for TC but I don't see us spending any draft picks on QBs. We need to get the interior O-Line shored up and address needs at WR, OLB, and in the secondary.

Agree, I will be pissed if we draft a scrub QB in the middle rounds, CK is all the young QB we need...

the college QB rating is a different calculation, but equally worthless.

49ers have Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick, Josh Johnson, and Scott Tolzien. They aren't drafting a quarterback, and if they do it's most likely going to be either in the late rounds or a free agent probably just as a "camp arm".
