Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
Has this guy said if he was going or staying? He was a great looking LB against Bama. Speed, long arms...

Mingo will probably return to school as the deadline is today. He projects as a first-round pick whenever he's in the draft though.

Today is the final day for guys to declare and I haven't heard anything so I'm assuming he's staying.

Whenever he does declare, he will have the best name in the whole draft.

I've said it before, but Mingo is a stud.
Quite possibly the best defensive end in the sophomore class.

It could be worse.....his brother's name is Hughtavious Mingo lol
I thought at first that his parents would be very traditional african, since that sounds like an african name, but then i found out that his dad's name is Hugh and his moms name is Barbra, so i wouldn't think that they are. Maybe just wasn'ted to name their kids something different.

I think that whole LSU dline might end up being 1st round picks. Brockers is a top 15 pick this year IMO, and Mingo, Montgomery and Bennie Logan could be 1st round picks in the 2013/2014 drafts.

Barkevious Mingo will wind up in most draft analsyts' Top 10 overall players to start next season. If he builds on what we saw this season you'd have to imagine he is a lock in that area. His incredible combination of length, speed, and burst off the edge make him an ideal fit standing up in a 3-4 system. Mingo is a special athlete; it's likely he will continue to excel on the country's top defensive front and be drafted very highly in 2013.

I thought he was surprisingly stout at the POA as well and he still has plenty of room for growth. Could be an elite prospect before all is said and done.
