I think I am understanding your user name now. It's ok alot of people don't like SOAD either so you can rag on me for that if you'd like. Also the guitarist from killswitch who started that band times of grace should go jump off a cliff. After seeing that band for one show (was the only time I heard of them) and seeing one music video, I'm convinced they are the Nickelback of "hardcore" bands.
I don't know anything about this Times of Grace nonsense. How could you not understand my name? It's literally the first word in the band's name.
Granted I don't listen to them as much as I used to but I still really enjoy them. Adam Dutkewicz is the reason I decided to try so many different instruments and write my own material instead of waiting to find decent band members.

Haha I know it seems obvious now but I just stay far away from that band, have yet to hear you talk about them really, so I just didn't put 2 + 2 together. And I think Adam was the guitarist who started times of grace, here's a video:
The comments on the video kill me. "this is dah future of metal". God I hate this ******* band.
Can't see the video at work, will try it at home. "Nickelback of metal" does not sound promising.
For me it's probably more nostalgic than anything. I was really into them, Unearth, Poison the Well, etc back in the day. My tastes have moved on to more specific stuff since then but yeah, just one of those glory days bands back when I went to shows all the time.
And yes SOAD is terrible and has always been terrible. I feel like at this point you should know better.

SOAD has been far more influential and outreaching music wise than Killswitch ever will be, and were never terrible you dirty colts liking killswitch fan.
But seriously I understand why people can dislike them, but Toxicity is still to this day one of my favorite albums.

One can only hope that Howard returns to BHBS. That band is just brutally heavy. I liked Howard more in BHBS and Jesse in KSE although I did like Jesse in Seemless and do like him in his most recent band The Empire Shall Fall
Here's a vid from a private show they played at their hometown (Greensburg, PA - where I live.) 4th of July, invite only. Couldn't have been 50 or so peeps there. This bar isn't even open anymore.
I included the original for those that can listen through the poor quality.

Likely my favorite instrumental "post-rock" song ever written. The musicality building to the extended breakdown at the end simply melts my face every time I hear it.
Here is a track from the upcoming debut album from Pallbearer, awesome epic doom metal from Arkansas. I've heard a couple tracks from the album and it seems like it's album of the year material for 2012.

Oh man... glad to see some Pallbearer love!!! Check out Brett Campbell singing for Loss. This album is one of my tops of 2011...
