I don't think there was a whole lot of thinking going on really. That's the only way I can see that going down the way it did. Everyone panicked and let the situation get to them.
Of course, none of this means a thing if Cundiff makes a 99% of NFL kickers make, even with the situation being messed up as it was.

I agree at the end of the day no matter how rushed it was no matter how faked out the Ravens got Cundiff needs to put it through the freaking uprights. Upper level high schoolers shouldnt have a problem with that.

Cundiff set some touchback record last year, before the rule changes.

You ever peek at Cundiff's career numbers on touchbacks? I'm almost positive he was on PEDs or some **** last year.
Seriously, go look.

I'm well aware. I think he set the record for highest percentage of touchbacks. And the only reason he didn't get most actual touchbacks is because the Ravens didn't score enough.

At least he doesn't have Peterson to misuse anymore. I wonder which Tarvaris Jackson-esque QB he'll push for? (Someone terrible he'll want them to overdraft by at least 2 rounds.)

I have said that for years and baltimore fans keep telling me its form. People are so naive when it comes to PEDs.

Why do you think the NFLPA drug their ******* feet so badly on implementing the already-agreed-to HGH testing? They wanted to give their players a year to get it all out of their systems.
And the NFL wasn't exactly keen on having to suspend half the league...so they didn't fight it as fiercely as they probably could have.
PEDS are everywhere, particularly HGH.

It’s unknown whether Childress, who didn’t call the plays when he was the offensive coordinator of the Eagles, will call the plays in Cleveland. If he does, here’s hoping that the resists the temptation to dial up his patent-pending “12 men in the huddle” formation.

There's more conservatism in that coaching staff than at a Tea Party rally.

That's not conservatism, that's just badness.

HC Dennis Allen(Former Broncos DC)
OC Al Saunders(Raiders OC last year)
DC Emmitt Thomas(Former Chiefs secondary coach)
According to reports that's the most likely group of coordinators coming in. If Al keeps the offensive language and scheme the same I don't see any reason for the production to fall off, especially with a healthy McFadden.
Emmitt Thomas is a long time NFL coach that has familiarity with Allen when both coached in Atlanta. I'm hoping he can help our secondary with the flags and also develop DVD and Chekwa(both looked promising when healthy last year).
If Allen brings in the same scheme as Denver's last year, expect Kamerion Wimbley(Von Miller position) and Matt Shaughnessy(Elvis Dumervil position) to have good years. It will be interesting to see if we can land a stud pass rusher in F/A(Mario Williams?) or either draft a steal or somehow trade up into the 1st for one. All I know is a QB or pass rusher will be drafted in the 2013 draft....

How in the world would the Raiders trade in the 1st round?

Losing Emmitt Thomas would be a big loss for the Chiefs. I can't say enough about what he did with their secondary.

His playcalling and game management sucked in Green Bay. His offenses were good in spite of him, because he had four Pro Bowl linemen, Ahman Green, and Brett Favre. Even Brad Childress managed to make it to a conference title game the year that he had that kind of talent on offense.
That being said, with Philbin and Sherman on the staff, Miami's OL should be utterly sick within three years time. Both of those guys know how to groom OL talent.
