Some people just can't handle it if you can't put a clear label on something.

Yep, Schiano is desperate. Maybe he'll sign Jason McKie and call some FB dives for you!

It's not his fault, everyone he tries to interview gets blocked. It's actually a really ****** system that the NFL has going on in regards to position coaches.

Yeah, Raiders experienced this at every turn this year. But for OC, I would certainly look no further than Hue Jackson. He would do well with the Bucs O.

I can see Hue doing very well with Freeman and that young offense. Another WR and RB need to be added in the offseason, and if they could add a combo of Blackmon/Miller or Richardson/Sanu, Freeman could easily be the QB he was before last season.

Here is my simple input on the Steelers:

* Redman is a good short yardage back, but an average all round power back...RB needs to be addressed.

* The o-line needs to be addressed...bar Pouncey and hopefully Marcus Gilbert, our oline is backup standard. At least one starting OG and depth along the whole line is needed.

* NT is an equally big need, Hampton will probably be gone (he's not the kind of player to take a pay cut) and Hoke has already retired. That leaves us with Steve McLendon and possibly the talented but invisible Al Woods at NT. With Ziggy Hood playing the nose in certain packages. If we are sticking with our base 3-4 for the foreseeable future, NT has to be addressed this offseason.

* Bruce Arians was not scapegoated, he was was judged pretty fairly by most fans...yeah the numbers were pretty good in the passing game, but his playcalling was maddeningly predictable. If Ben wasnt his quaterback he would have been fired way before now, the majority of the stats were due to Ben extending plays and playing on a whim. After watching every Steelers game he coached in at least once, i can positively say he called the right play at the right time less than 25% of the time...thats just not good enough. I wouldnt even bash him for his run/pass ratio, i'd say in today's NFL, it was a pretty reasonable ratio...him losing his job all boils down to; being too chummy with Ben, being too predictable with play-calling, not adjusting mid game, and old-school fans lynching him for throwing more often.

* The hiring of Todd Haley is a good move. He has all the traits that Arians was lacking...he is strict, he is experimental, he adjusts the game plan well and he plays to his teams strength (Arizona w/Warner,Boldin, Fitz)+(KC w/Charles+Bowe). If the old-school fans who lynched Arians think Haley will run the ball 65% of the time, they will probably be horribly disappointed...our strength on offence is the passing game without a doubt; Ben, Wallace, Brown, Sanders, Cotchery and Heath Miller are one of the most solid groups in the NFL, whereas Mendenhall, Redman, Dwyer etc are an exceedingly average group (Mendy is an elite talent, but vary rarely plays up to expectation). If Haley can make a playbook that increases our running game's efficiency, utilises our receiving talent and minimises our o-lines deficiencies Steeler Nation will be happy! I think he can.

p.s. Wood, lose some weight man :(

I'm really hoping the Steelers take a huge nosedive into a rebuilding mode so we can win the AFC North in spite of Cam Cameron and Jim Caldwell.

****, I can't even believe it when I type it. Now I understand how Jags fans feel watching Gabbert play.

Cameron and Caldwell could break both of Flacco's kneecaps and elbows and he'd still be a better QB than Gabbert.

Also, even if the Steelers nosedive, the Bengals have a lot of young talent and two first round picks to work with this year to add more. So you can be pissed at the Raiders when the Bengals are beating your predictable offense for the North crown.

Wait, you mean I shouldn't fear Cleveland and their two first round picks?

I'm surprised he hasn't been hired yet. How many vacant OC jobs are there anyways? I can only think of TB. Doesn't seem like Hue has many options unless he wants to go back to being a QB or WR coach.

The Bears are still looking for a "passing game coordinator" to work with Mike Tice I believe. At least I don't recall anyone being hired for it.

Bengals still need a LB and DB coach. I know Rod Woodson's name was mentioned for DB.

Poor Rod Woodson. He shouldn't of been fired. It's not his fault he was forced to start DVD.

Id love him to be our DB coach. Especially if Dre Kirkpatrick is there at one of our picks (ideally 21).

And with our abyss at safety, I think he could do some good things there too.

I don't think Kirkpatrick lasts until 21. The pot charge was overblown and has since been dismissed against him. He's a top 15 talent and with the league's current emphasis on passing, having quality DBs to stop the pass is critical.

Yeah, you're not going to luck out twice. Have fun with Ron Turner or someone equally terrible.

Maybe Brad Childress would be interested in the OC job?

The Buccaneers are always tight lipped about who they want to sign. No reason to think that changes now and we sign the guy we are linked to the most ala Mike Sherman.
