The more I listen to El Camino, the more I love it. I was a huge fan of Thickfreakness, but TBK really stepped up their game on the newest one. Really great album, all the way through. Little Black Submarines is also an absolutely stellar track.
Can't say I disagree with any of this. I have all TBK's albums, and love them all, but Thickfreakness, Brothers, and now El Camino are my favorites. Little Black Submarines is getting A LOT of love by pretty much everyone, and I think its because its different than anything they've done. It starts off acoustic (which I haven't heard on an album of theirs) and personal, then they ******* drop the bomb half way through and shred it up the rest of the way through.

Yeah, it kinda surprised me too. I'm sure there will be more. He has a friend who is in my friends band who has a bunch of videos up, its just of him playing guitar though. He's a guitar player, but a ******* sick one, and he can do fingerstyle too.

For those of you that like "Somebody That I Used to Know", this is my favorite song by Gotye, these guys are ******* insane...
Also, I'm going to see Of Monsters and Men in Philly, and they have been telling people to support Lay Low, who is opening for them. Its easy to support Lay Low when she (they) put out music like this...
(at roughly 1:40, this ^song goes from cool to epic)

Heard this guy on the radio the other day and I like what I hear so far, for any of you that like bluesier music, Gary Clark Jr. will be a good idea to listen to.
This next song is what made me look into him, killer song.
and I literally just found this song... so damn good.

I was visiting my friend in Arizona one weekend and she said her cousin was playing a show. It was Youth Lagoon. It's good but all his stuff sounds the same. I knew they had a following but I didn't think they would show up on SWDC you god damn hipsters! :P
haha i like it. its relaxing

Don't know if anyone around these parts likes Jack White, but I'm a big fan. Here is his new single:
Should be an interesting solo debut, to say the least. I think he's one of the last few rock stars left out there, honestly. It Might Get Loud is a great documentary featuring him and the development of the guitar as an instrument if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. Also features The Edge and Jimmy Page.

Huge Jack White/The White Stripes fan. HUGE fan. This song is sick, and if its any indication, he will continue to put out ******* awesome music.
He's one of the headliners of the Hangout Music festival I'm thinking about going to in Alabama in May.

Is anyone else the least bit anxious for the Shins album in March? I wasn't overly impressed with the "Simple Song" single to be honest, sorry if it's already been discussed was just curious to know if anyone else cared, I've become quite since diving into their stuff fairly recently.

I really like Simple Song, and I'm eagerly awaiting the new album. Really I can't wait.

The only Simple Song that will ever mean anything to me
