Doesn't surprise me. This means we're either getting Robert Mathis, Mario Williams, or a round 2 DE. If none of the above happens, we are truly ******.

I don't know about you, but assuming we don't get Mark Anderson (I have a sneaking suspicion he stays in NE), I would not be very happy with Ray Edwards and Lawrence Sidbury starting at DE. I'd love Sidbury to get more playing time and will readily admit he has the tools to be a solid NFL player, but it's just too risky.

Unless we add Mario not having Abe is going to suck big time, and a huge setback for our Defense as a whole and our already non-existent pass rush.

The tight ends looked pretty awful. Maybe be grab the UMass guy in round 4, he's pretty raw, have Tony G groom him up during his final season.

I really dont know what direction were goin the draft this year. Alot of upgradeable positions just not really sure what we will do. Maybe BPA at OL or a defensive position.

No bigtime DE around round 2, and if Abe is gone were in trouble.

I'm lazy so somebody tell me what we're going to do this offseason.

Any idea on free agency? IMO we need to get our typical one big signing. Mario if available, Landry... Those are ideal IMO.

Landry isn't an elite safety but he'd be an upgrade and a tone-setter on the defense.

Falcons are looking to extend Matt Ryan's contract. He does not deserve more money than what he got from his rookie deal.

He can't win a playoff game, he does not deserve a raise. We have enough talent to win a wildcard without him at QB.

lol no we don't. He's not great but if we're not winning, or coming close to winning, a playoff game with him, then we won't do it without him.

Sadly, although he has limitations at this point, he's our QB for the next decade and the odds of us getting someone better are worst than the odds of him improving.

Although he tended to piss me off often this year, I still love me some Roddy White.

Past five seasons...

Roddy White: 471 receptions, 6422 yards (13.63 average), 42 TD
Larry Fitzgerald: 463 receptions, 6480 yards (14.00 average), 49 TD

Larry is an all-timer and Roddy is not, but that's impressive.

At least with Matt we know hes actually working on improving and tries. A lot of QBs dont really have that. No it doesnt translate to immediate results but at least I know hes trying to improve himself and the players around him.

He doesnt deserve a contract till he can win at least 1 playoff game, was it all on him? No, but thats part of being the face of the franchise and the QB.

In terms of this offseason, I see it as a big fail if we dont at least try to land Mario. With Abe looking like hes on the way out, and no hope to even get a decent DE in this years draft, I dont see how we can afford not to sign him.

Im hoping in the 2ns we can and a solid OL, maybe a CB that falls or safety. One guy Im really likeing after seeing his bowl game and recent combine workouts is Robert Turbin. He didnt play against great competition but I really like what he offers. Reminds me alot of a poor mans Rashard Mendenhal. 5'11 216, ran a 4.50 which was great a his size and is damn strong. Doesnt do anything flashy and cant hit that homerun like AP but just a hardnose back and IMO would be a great replacement for Turner.

Just 1 guy Ive noticed recently.
