Today he claims no leaders and that FSU is in his Top 5. I forgot his HS Coach is former FSU LB Brian Allen. I don't know if FSU will sign him, but they certainly have a good shot.

Annnnnnd he did. 6'5, 200 receiver. 12th recruit of the class. Probably projects to high 3* or low 4*. For what it's worth he lit up tOSU commit Cam Burrows for 170 yards and 2 tds.
Be on the lookout for Illinois WR Laquon Treadwell (Rivals #31 overall, possible 5 star candidate) to commit to Michigan sometime soon.

Full list of teams and conferences and how they voted on 4-year scholarships (S means against them, D means for them).
Some thoughts:
-The entire Big 12 was against them
-The entire Big Ten (minus Wisconsin) is for them
Other notable teams in favor of them:
-UCLA
-Auburn
-Florida
-Georgia
-Kentucky
-Mississippi
-Mississippi State
-Arkansas
-Notre Dame
-NC State
-Oregon
-Pittsburgh
-South Florida
-Stanford
-Utah
-Vanderbilt
-Wake Forest
-UConn
-Duke
-Washington
-Washington State
Other notable teams against them:
-Cal
-Clemson
-USC
-Florida State
-LSU
-Alabama (duh...)
-Maryland
-Georgia Tech
-Tennessee
-Virginia
-Boston College
-Cincinnati
-Colorado
-Boise State
-Rutgers (never getting in the Big Ten now...)
There was about 60% against (smaller schools hate it), but not enough to overturn the rule, so it's going to happen sooner than later. Props to the non-evil SEC schools for going along (some of them quite shockingly)

Rutgers will change their mind on the issue in a heartbeat if the Big Ten really came calling.

Michigan has commits from the #16, #46, #54, #60, #77, #96, #109, #160, #167, #183, and #199 on the Rivals 250. Michigan also leads for #15, #18, #31, and #37. Hoke's going to be moving onto 2014 kids before most schools have half their class filled.

It doesn't always work out for the best. Look at Texas the last few years.

Michigan's fast start is reminiscent of Texas' usual strategy or Ohio State's 2009 run that saw them win the fictional recruiting national title...the results of signing everyone by summertime haven't been as good lately with those classes for the most part though. I'm not sure why, maybe the sense of entitlement of the early evaluation period kids, or the fact that they committed to signing kids based on junior and sophomore performance instead of having them come in and earn offers in summer camps and during their senior year.
At any rate, the quality in Hoke's 2012 and 2013 classes so far has been in the trenches clearly, especially on the O-Line. I think that's a good sign that they are headed towards Michigan football we saw in the '90s and early 2000s.

Minnesota gets its first commit from a local cornerback, Keelon Brookins. Michigan State and Wisconsin were showing interest, but now will have to leave him alone I'm sure.

#1 player in the nation Robert Nkemdiche visited Ole Miss this weekend and said he loved it. His brother is on the team so that obviously really gives us a chance but most people think he is going to Bama. I don't know too much about recruiting but this is a pretty intriguing story for Ole Miss fans.

Ohio State gets Rivals 100 OL (#1 OL in Ohio) Evan Lisle!!!! Great start so far with our first 5 verbals with 4 being top 100 guys and all 5 being top 250 guys.
Also it sounds like Michael McCray is gonna announce soon to either Michigan or Tennessee. Sounded like an Ohio State lock earlier, but apparently they wanted to see him in person before offering b/c he might be too slow and a DE/LB 'tweener......so he's probably gonna go elsewhere for now.

Alabama is going to do it because they have to. The Big Ten (and a lot of SEC teams for that matter) forced this on schools like Alabama and LSU. No way in hell are they going to continue to offer one-year scholarships while everyone else is offering 4 years.
Take off your Alabama pajamas and think about this for five seconds. Alabama voted against it because they didn't want it to pass. Now that it's going to, they are jumping on before they get left behind.
If you honestly believe that Saban wanted to do this you're out of your mind. The no vote says it all.

Exactly. If you're a top prospect being offered by everyone, would you rather accept a 4 year guaranteed scholarship from say USC, or a one year scholarship that can be revoked after any given year by Alabama?
Saban has to offer 4 year scholarships if he wants to keep up now. Most kids aren't going to accept 1 year offers just because they're from Alabama when equally competitive schools are offering 4 years. You would be borderline mentally handicapped to take the 1 year offer.

#68 overall prospect (according to Top247) and QB Christian Hackenberg commits to Penn State. I wouldn't be surprised if #1 TE, Adam Breneman pulls the trigger at any moment.

HUGE pickup for Penn State today in landing Christian Hackenberg. He's their first commitment and I cannot be any more pumped. Next up, Adam Breneman.
