Its the fact that you willingly traded for Derek Fisher as your backup option when he has 2 years on his contract one is a player option. That made no sense to me. Since you could have got a backup in FA while you wait for Lowery to recover and got better results then Fisher.
|
Rockets have been searching for 1st rounders to acquire, and this got them what they wanted.

Yeah, I was thinking it'd be something like this. Fisher sucks, so I don't think Houston wants to keep him long term. As soon as Lowry is back, Dragic goes back to the bench, and Fisher is out.

Edit- My bad. Didnt realize you are a Knicks fan. Then you should know how horrible Hill can be.
Getting a 1st for Hill is plenty of sense. Its all about the draft pick and Hill wouldnt play anyway after trading for Camby. I dont know why its so hard for you to understand.

Well when I first looked at the deal I didn't know you guys wanted to buy Fisher out.
Obviously a 1st rd pick of any kind for Hill is probably a good deal.

You asked if I have seen him play. I have and he is still the same player who has made next to no improvement in his game since being drafted.
My issue wasn't with trading Hill. It was trading for Fisher.

Wasn't there a rule put in the new CBA that prevented teams from re-signing a player that they traded but was then waived?

Yeah my fault on that. Didnt think what team you root for. But anyway like I said, we need a backup PG for a few weeks with Lowry out but after that, Fisher is prob done here and we can then buy him out after the season.

You probably could have signed a FA/ D-League PG and got better results then Fisher will give you while Lowry is out.

Not the leadership. Our team is one of the youngest teams maybe even the youngest. We need some veteran leadership and Fisher can bring that. Even more so if we make the playoffs.

How quick do you think he is going to be able to pick up the system and build chemistry will Lowry is out? Odds are it will take some time and Lowry will be closer to come back as Fisher gets more accustomed to the team.

Despite his negative basketball IQ I kind of like that pickup for the Clippers. Fills a hole at SG.

Every team wins here.
McGee needed a setting change, Carl will coach him up & hopefully keep him off the NOT top 10 for a while

J Rich almost got traded to the T Wolves. I like him, but I wish it happened, just cause I want a roster shake up. I dont know what we would have got back.
