Not that it will happen, but Kelly should lose his job and the ad should get a
FTM charge. Suspended scholarships and a bowl ban. Close to what OSU got.

Paying to get players is pretty much what happened and that's about as bad as you can get with the NCAA.

Absolutely.... I think Chip Kelly knew this was coming and probably why he flirted with the NFL.


Oregon has already admitted to Failure to Monitor, but it's clear that this issue extended from 2008 to 2011... that's essentially part or all of 4 years.

I have no explanation for how or why "Failure to Monitor" for that long doesn't translate into Lack of Institutional Control.

Who knows at this point. The NCAA broke precedent in giving OSU a bowl ban due to FTM.

Let's see if they stick to their guns on Oregon. This is oodles worse than OSU, IMO. The HC paid for players.

To be fair, a large part of why OSU was made an example of was because it took the NCAA snooping around before they actually did anything. It wasn't like out of nowhere OSU came out and said, "Hey, we had these minor problems and just found out about them, but just wanted to let you guys know."

That said, the NCAA sucks at enforcing punishments in any type of consistent basis. The whole "Failure to Monitor" reason is a joke and should just be done away with.
