Default Drew Stanton Traded to Colts
The New York Jets just reported on their Twitter page they have traded quarterback Drew Stanton to the Indianapolis Colts. No terms of the deal were announced.

Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger reports the Jets sent Stanton and a seventh-round pick to the Colts in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick, per a person with knowledge of the details of the trade. That person requested anonymity because the terms were not announced.

Stanton's abbreviated tenure with the team lasted just a week. Circumstances changed quickly when the Jets traded for Tim Tebow on Wednesday and announced him as their new back-up quarterback behind Mark Sanchez.

Holy crap, I just read that Jets are cool with Stanton keeping his $500K signing bonus that they paid him a week ago. Did he even make an appearance at their facilities? Has the check even cleared? That might be the dumbest signing in recent memory.

Made no sense but its worth it for a 30+ pick trade up for 500K.

We signed the guy last week and move a 7th rounder into a 6th rounder. Not a huge biggie at the end of the day but hey. We likewise keep an agent cool by dealing Stanton to a team who can see him as their No.2

Eh.....they kind of screwed the guy over by promising him the backup job and taking it away. Now he has to play in Indianapolis behind an awesome QB instead of in New York behind a terrible QB. It's a nice gesture by the Jets, I guess.

Not that I wouldn't have wanted to seen him screwed him over, mind you. I hope his dick falls off and that he never knows another moment of happiness. But that's just me.
