Dolphins coach didn't want Flynn?

Thank goodness the Heat are doing so well and the Marlins are actually spending money or I'd be super sad about the Dolphins being a joke.

It's been obvious what Miami has been trying to do this season IMO, bringing in Mike Sherman to be the OC and not signing Flynn has to mean they are targeting Tannehill. He should be around still at 8 unless a team like Seattle or KC decide they want to develop a QB. It looks like Miami is trying to blow up that offense to build around a young QB(Tannehill). They still have a solid oline and running game already, and I'm sure the Dolphins will draft a WR or 2 early in the draft. Alshon Jeffery in the 2nd?

Of course all of this story is from the mouth of an admittedly disgruntled fan, so who knows if any of it is true.

If the story is true, I interpreted that as "I couldn't pay $8 Million for him to be here if Philbin wouldn't give it a raving endorsement, and commit to him. And he wouldn't."

And obviously, the owner shouldn't be calling up fans to discuss this type of behind-closed-doors conversation.

Sherman was brought in because Philbin has known him forever and coached under him in GB. While we might bring in Tannehill, I doubt that's why Sherman was hired.

I agree, but it sure would make the Tannehill pick an even better one IMO. Matt Moore can still start in 2012, and as someone said if you can nab Jeffrey in the 2nd or another threat at WR he's got a pretty solid situation come 2013. Only thing about this entire scenario is Miami has almost put all their eggs into his basket and if someone makes a move before they can get him what's gone on thus far will look even worse.


At least if they get Tannehill and he ends up a stud you can spin it like he was the guy you wanted all a long.
