They've hit a little rough patch here but I still can't see anyone beating them in the East. Chicago is the next best team and they did nothing in that series last year to make me believe they can beat them in a 7 game series.
This is pretty embarrassing right now though.

Boozer's playing on a completely different level, Rose is playing smarter, with Asik they have more size to take advantage of Miami's weakness in the paint and if Rip ever plays for the Bulls they're vastly better shooters this year and less likely to go ice cold again. *shrug* These Bulls are a lot better and more well rounded than they were and may even be favorites against the heat pending health/momentum.

I know it's not the playoffs yet and they could sure as hell turn it on on the playoffs but they haven't looked that good lately.
Whereas OKC has looked amazing.
EDIT: Also, I use to hate him but Rondo is legit and at times is the only one on boston that seems like he cares.
|
Rondo is Boston's best player...which is why they need to trade him to the Thunder for Russell Westbrook. So I can not hate anyone on that team that matters, because **** you Collison, and not not hate anyone on Boston.

Rondo is one of my favorite players. He may be a pouty little douchenozzle (that may happen when your idiot GM is constantly trying to trade you), but the dude is a straight up baller. Except for jumpshooting, he does everything at an all-star level, and constantly plays with high energy. You can't teach that.

I like seeing him get pissed at the rest of the team when they aren't playing hard enough or aren't getting back.
You could see him today saying "let's go!" when the rest of the team was lollygagging and taking their sweet ass time getting back on OFFENSE.
(granted they were up by close to thirty)

Klay Thompson has such a sweet looking stroke, if he can keep it up and Bogut gets healthy that Monta Ellis trade looks a lot better than it did originally.

I think the Celtics should start Avery Bradley then have Ray Allen come off the bench ala manu ginobli. If they do that I think they have a legit chance to cause some damage considering Ray Allen coming off the bench would completely and utterly wear Dwayne Wade out.
But then again Brandon Bass and KG need to rebound like they did yesterday to stand a chance.

I pray every night the Kings don't trade Cousins, trade Tyreke!. But I agree Cousins has been great as of late, 26ppg and 13rb in the last 5 games.

Also about the Heat. I don't think it's a case of turning it on or off for the playoffs, I think they have some fundamental problems and are being exploited for it.
They're a fast break team that doesn't fast break any more. They're weak in the half court offense because Chalmers and Joel Anthony aren't scaring anyone.
They need to run.
Serious **** is gonna go down this summer if they don't win the championship this year. They need to make a trade for Dwight and I'm guessing they'll fire Spoelstra, fair or not.
I was listening to Colin Cowherd on my way to work and he brings up a good point. Look at OKC's offense. they score and move the ball so effortlessly in the half court set and/or full court and got three guys that can take you off the dribble. Miami's two are amazing but they don't got a center a point guard and depth on the bench.
Shane Battier has stepped it up though. He's legit.
-- my random two cents.

Cole/Battier/Miller/Haslem/Turiaf is a fine bench, especially at the 2/3/4. Chalmers was playing great the first half of the year but has lost his confidence. Yea we were dominating on the fast break but the half court offense was fine. We were the best 3pt team % wise for most of the year. The defense and the shooting have both gone to **** and as a result the offensive production has gone down. If you think this team can't win because of Chalmers and Anthony you clearly didn't watch any basketball before March. They just need to get out of this ridiculous mental rutt. 10 out of the next 13 at home should help.

losing streaks happen. they hit a funk. They're too good defensively and too athletic to stay in any real kind of slump. When you've got 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA (if Wade is top 5, definitely top 10), things will work out. Lebron and Wade are such ridiculous athletes and defenders that they alone can shut down 2 guys at the 1-3 position (Lebron could probably even guard some 4's). their biggest weakness is at center and Anthony and Pittman can hold their own defensively there

Avery Bradley is a god damn stud. It's a shame he didn't stay an extra year in Texas.
Also, Cousins isn't going anywhere. Petrie and the Maloofs aren't idiots, they know they have one of the best big men in the league, and he's 21 years old.

Ugh, no. Nash to the Thunder. Nash/Russ/KD/Ibaka/Perk, with Fish, Harden Sefolosha, Maynor and Collison off the bench.
Dynasty.

I think it came out to be false but didnt he kinda say something about wanting to be traded earlier this year?
He doesnt have to leave the state when he becomes a FA. He can come play the 4 in LA :)

The Heat would be a much better fit for Nash. Who would sit in crunch time for the Thunder in that situation?

I do wonder what a Nash/Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Perk lineup could manage. If Perkins could try being good again, he'd be the perfect guy to make the others a conceivable lineup with his interior defense.
