Wilhite's not bad on special teams. He's also a decent tackler, but his coverage skills leave a lot to be desired, he's basically a "let them make the catch, then tackle quickly" guy.

Here's what I found on Wilhite from 2011:
30/37 (81.1%), 299 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 PD, 98.1 rating against
He made three special teams tackles.

Hayden's coverage statistics from 2011 don't look too bad but he has missed a ton of games; the last time he was fully healthy was 2008.

Carpenter is good for a spot start or two and is decent depth. Not the worst signing in the world.

He's also softer than cream cheese.

FWIW, Kelvin Hayden > Tim Jennings at least what we saw of them as Colts. The fact that the Bears have gotten good football from Jennings makes me question Dungy's coaching ability/staff. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Hayden beat him for the starting spot. I don't know of Hayden ever playing special teams, though perhaps his rookie year.

What's the story on Amobi Okoye? He's not even 25 yet, so it seems like he should still have some upside.

He was pretty solid for the Bears last year. He and Melton made a pretty good rotation at UT.
I don't think he'll ever live up to his draft billing, but he can be a guy that gets you 4-6 sacks on the inside or be a great rotational piece. I know he interviewed with some teams...the Bengals for sure that I recall...his asking price must be too high.
Wouldn't mind him back if he doesn't like the offers he's getting on the market.

Do you have any idea why Crocker was cut?

I remember there was a lot of talk Gruden might take him at 4 that year. Okoye or Adams, probably a wash.

I remember that. When Dallas offloaded him for a fat slob of a penalty machine (Alex Barron). It was more hopeful optimism from STL fans though. Barbie Carpenter is a finesse linebacker and certainly no better than a backup.
He did have one good day since then (against Dallas) xD

Adams was better because the Bucs traded him to Chicago for a second rounder.

Seahawks signed OG Deuce Luitui and LB Barrett Ruud and re-signed CB Roy Lewis.
I like Roy Lewis, hopefully Luitui and Ruud are just depth.

Can't stay healthy and i think they like Mays and Sands at SS could also point that they might target Barron in the draft.
